Teatro Colón is located next to the wide Av. 9 de Julio and is an eclectic-style opera house, with architecture that blends Italian and French elements. The theater opened in 1908, with Verdi's opera "Aida" as its inaugural performance, and has since hosted numerous singers and conductors. Acoustics expert Leo Beranek once surveyed international opera and orchestra conductors, and the results showed that its main auditorium's opera acoustics rank among the best in the world. The horseshoe-shaped main auditorium features a color palette of scarlet and gold, with a bronze chandelier weighing over a ton hanging in the center, and the dome is painted with a mural created by Argentine painter Raúl Soldi. The Golden Hall was inspired by the grand foyer of the Palais Garnier, with its golden finishes, mirrors, and lighting fixtures reflecting each other. It is now used for chamber music concerts and receptions. The stained-glass dome refracts brilliant colors when light shines through it. The theater also houses costume rooms, scenery workshops, and rehearsal spaces underground, allowing the entire production system to be completed in-house, which is rare among opera houses. After a major renovation in 2010, the theater restored its former glory.

Recoleta Cemetery, established in 1822, is a well-known open-air mausoleum complex in Buenos Aires. Nearly 5,000 above-ground mausoleums line the alleys, making walking inside feel like navigating a maze-like "miniature city." It houses marble mausoleums of various architectural styles, including Neo-Gothic, Baroque, Art Deco, and Art Nouveau. Many mausoleums are adorned with exquisite statues and reliefs, and much of the marble and decorative materials used in their construction were imported from Paris and Milan. In 1936, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Buenos Aires, Argentine modernist architect Alberto Prebisch designed this monument, adopting the geometric shape of a traditional obelisk. The monument is approximately 67.5 m high, built with a reinforced concrete structure, features simple geometric lines throughout, and was completed in just about 1 month. Its location has a special historical background—the Church of St. Nicholas once stood here. There is a window on each of the four sides at the top of the monument, offering a panoramic view of the city. Each of the four sides of the monument is also engraved with inscriptions, each recording important events related to the city's history.

We purchased the option for the VIP only show which gave us great seats and what seemed to be unlimited drinks, plus a couple of bites to eat. The show was centrally located which meant we could walk to and from our hotel, saving time on transportation. The show was well choreographed and had some excellent dancers. The passion, athleticism and skill of the dancers was evident throughout the show. It was a very well choreographed dance but also a fantastic show and definitely a must see while in Buenos Aires.

Recoleta Cemetery is one of the most prominent attractions in downtown Buenos Aires. It is the final resting place of many political figures, historical heroes, and business tycoons. The tombs, each with its own unique style, resemble a European architectural exhibition. The cemetery also contains numerous sculptures erected by the families of the deceased, evoking a sense of remembrance and mourning. Respect for death is a unique aspect of Argentine culture; they believe that only at the end of life can a person truly and completely reveal the meaning and value of their existence. The tomb of Eva Perón, the revered First Lady of Argentina, is located at number C7-88. This is arguably the most prominent spot in the entire cemetery. Although its location, scale, and appearance are not particularly special, and it can even be a little difficult to find without asking staff, it attracts a constant stream of visitors every day, demonstrating its enduring appeal.

La Boca is a very vibrant and colorful area in Buenos Aires. it is an area with colorful houses, shops and restaurants. be sure to go during the day and do not wear fancy clothing or jewelries and not to cross over to Baraccas due to safety reason. otherwise it is a nice stroll and walk through city.
