As a World Cultural Heritage site and the foremost of the three imperial mausoleums outside the Great Wall, this ancestral mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty exudes a solemn tranquility, devoid of hustle and bustle. Red walls and yellow tiles reflect against Qiyun Mountain; the unique wooden fence and red gate, the Manchu, Mongolian, and Han inscriptions on the Four Ancestors Stele Pavilion, and the distinctive stone dragon carvings unique to Qing mausoleums—every detail holds a piece of early Manchu history. The guides are professional and meticulous, vividly explaining the imperial ancestral worship rites and the stories of the mausoleum's feng shui. The scenic area is well-managed, clean, and free of forced purchases and noisy vendors. It's a perfect place to calmly appreciate and explore!

The scenic area is not big, suitable for bringing the elderly and children to play together, absorbing the negative oxygen ions of the forest. There are many amusement facilities for children in the scenic area. The most attractive aerial cableway is entertaining, but the cost performance is not very high. Accommodation and parking in the scenic area are not included. It is charged per time. Even if you stay out, you still have to pay extra

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

I was truly healed by the forest oxygen bar in this city. ✅ Goddess Square: The main landmark, with a musical fountain show on the hour ⛲️ ✅ Reservoir Dam: The best viewing spot around the lake, a filming location for the movie "The World," absolutely stunning at sunset. ✅ Black Pine Forest: Tall, straight black pines reaching for the sky; a short walk along the wooden boardwalk after getting off the bus creates great photo opportunities. The park is very large; I didn't get to explore the whole thing.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

I don't know if it's because of the epidemic, there are no more than 10 cars in the scenic area, and then you need to pay in cash to buy tickets when there is a power outage. I exchanged money with the roasted sweet potato seller at the door, and the people were quite enthusiastic. The scenic area is not big, and one day is enough to walk the whole way. The thin sky is more interesting. When the groundwater flows down, it's wet and my shoes are soaked. The scenery basically remains natural, and it's very good for relaxation.
