We went to the gallery just before an opening and were allowed to look around. It is a commercial gallery selling local artists at very reasonable prices.

Closed.
The gallery was closed for renovation for an unknown period of time in early October. Locals told us it can take quite a while for it to re-open, so you might as well double-check before you arrive.
