Ling-guang Monastery

Lingguang Temple, located in the east of Cuiwei Mountain in Shijingshan District, Beijing, is a Buddhist ancient temple with a history of more than 1200 years. Lingguang Temple is the second monastery in the eight major places, and this is a good tourist attraction.

The eight major Lingguang Temple is dedicated to Buddha Teeth Sheli. The incense here is very prosperous. There are many people who come to reduce incense. In order to control the passenger flow, the management office does not let itself light the incense. The incense is directly invested in the incense stove. Lingguang Temple, located in the west mountain of Shijingshan District, Beijing, Yumaicui Weishan, is famous for serving Sakyamuni Buddha's teeth and has become one of the centers of worship by Buddhists in China and abroad. In 1983, it was designated by the State Council as the key national Buddhist monastery in Han nationality areas, and is now managed by monks from the Chinese Buddhist Association.

Lingguang Temple is the second place in the eight major places. The temple was built in the Tang Dynasty (766-779), and was rebuilt in Jin and Mingshi. The original Zhaoxian Pagoda built in Liaoxianxuan seven years (1071), and was destroyed by the eight-nation coalition forces in 1900, leaving only the tower base. The 11th-century Sakya Buddha's Dental Sheri, discovered in 1959 from the Zhaoxian Tataki, built a 51-meter-high, eight-story densely-formed Buddha Dental Sheri Tower and an attached temple in the temple. The Buddha Dental Sheri is dedicated to the seven treasures of the Buddha Dental Sheri Hall in the tower.

Having been here many times, this temple is well known in Beijing and even in the whole country. It is situated in the surroundings of eight mountains in the west of Beijing. It has beautiful scenery and fresh air. It is one of the symbols of the eight parks. There are a lot of tourists here. If we catch up with some special days of Buddhism, it will be crowded. There are many believers here, whether traveling or doing things, and Lingguang Temple has a long history. It is also a good place to learn history, ancient architecture and Buddhism.
