What a shame
The worst managed pinacoteca in the world. Dirty, no lighting , so sad. We were looking for the famous local painter Emilio Notte, and found only this disaster.
There's scaffolding round the main tower, but you can still stroll into the main courtyard. And although there is currently no signposting, you can head up the main staircase to visit the Pinacotecc...
Ceglie is one of those towns you always just drive by. Take the time to stop and see the historic area including the castle and the beautiful churches. worth stop.
We have been "habitating" the region for more than 8 years after we have acquired a holiday home in the countryside of Ceglie where we arrived several times a year.
The fineness and lightness of the forged iron balcony will be noted, inside the first floor, which is free of charge, offers to see its hairdryer rooms decorated with beautiful fresh.
