Water Conservancy Projects

Visiting the Corinth Canal from the first stop of Athens westbound is the Corinth Canal with a length of 79 meters. The coordinates of the Corinth Canal are the deepest canals in the world. It is also a rare canal in the hard rock area. This narrow and slender waterway provides access from the Aegean Sea to The shortcuts to the sea in Ionia saved small and medium ships time and cost for the supertankers and container ships in modern shipping. The canal was still too small for the supertankers and container ships in modern shipping. The vast project of excavating the canal was largely built during the reign of Roman Emperor Nero in 67 AD Works on the Jewish prisoners in the Jewish colonies of the Roman Empire were halted in 68 AD 1892 a French company began construction of the canal 1893 completed by the Greek government. The long canal was provided through the Corinthian Isthmus. The sea shortcut bridge from the Aegean to Ionia straddles the highway bridge above the canal and the pedestrian trails for tourists provide a chance to take a photo. The water in the sunny canal makes a super dreamy blue-green monument. Next to it, I found a smiling Greek dog so cute.

D了个Y
The first rural town on this trip to Greece, Nafplion, is in a corner on the eastern side of the Peloponnese Peninsula, a seaport city at the northern end of the Bay of Argolis, supposedly the first capital in modern Greek history, from about 1829 to 1834, now Al. The capital of Golis and Nafplion Province has a good climate and no industry. The blue sky and white clouds. The blue sea is really picturesque. There are no people in European countries. There are fewer people in this rural field, so the holiday experience is particularly good in the town. Just stroll around, have a brunch, see the sea, and walk in the leisure courtyard. It’s what a vacation should look like.

The real open-air ancient theater built nearly 2,500 years ago, more than 30 rows of marble seats surround the central stage, like an open folding fan, is spectacular and beautiful. It can accommodate more than 10,000 people to enjoy the performance at the same time. It is still functional and practical. It is really true to stand in the center of the stage and shout a voice. It is really true to sit in the back row. It is so godly that you have to admire the wisdom and creativity of the ancient Greeks.

Athens is a city with many cultural relics, especially the temples. We visited many temples in Greece. When we took a boat tour of the Aegean Sea, we also visited the famous temples on the island. Greece is still very cultural.

闲来有趣
The main display in the Acropolis Museum is the various cultural relics collected from the Acropolis. Many authentic products are here, but the things on the Acropolis are fake. The cultural relics inside represent the highest level of Greek art. The museum ticket is four euros, and many places cannot be photographed. Some large exhibits cannot be photographed, so they are all small collections.

Constitution Square (Syntagma Square) is the main square in Athens, the Greek capital, located before the Greek Parliament, named after the Greek Constitution approved by King Otto on September 3, 1843 after the uprising. Constitution Square is north to Vassileos Georgiou A Street, south to Othonos Street, west to Filellinon Street, east to Amalie Street. Below the square is the subway station, and the nearby outdoor cafes are a popular downtown gathering place. There are two green areas north and south of the square, planted with shade trees, and the center is a large fountain to spend the hot summer with the Athenians. The most attractive spot on Constitution Square is the Unknown Soldiers Memorial (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) in front of the Greek Parliament building, built in 1928 to commemorate the unsung Greek heroes who died in the war to escape Turkish rule. The main body of the Unknown Soldiers Memorial is the Unknown Soldiers relief, an ancient Greek warrior wearing a helmet lying on a slab. On both sides of the reliefs are two famous words: "This is the tomb of the world's outstanding soldiers", "is the spiritual bed for the unnamed soldiers". The reliefs are inscribed with 11 place names on the bottom left and 12 on the bottom right, all places where the Greek army and the foreign-army have fought in history. Every hour, a presidential guard change ceremony is held in front of the unnamed martyr's tomb between the square and the parliament. On Sundays and official holidays, most guards participate in the changing of guard and are accompanied by military bands.

The scene must be accompanied by a background story, otherwise it will only look at the ruins of a pile of stone pillars. Limestone, the roof is built in marble. Supported by 34 Corinthian columns about 17 meters high, 13 long and 6 wide. Its gables and interior hall porch are beautifully carved marble, and there are many Athens-style statues in the glaze.

The temple of Afia on the island of Aina was built between 510 and 480 BC to commemorate the victory of the Salles Sea. Afia was one of Zeus's wives, and the islanders regarded her as the island's protector, who once worshipped a forest fairy. The temple has 34 stone pillars, but only 24. The temple was built to form an equilateral triangle with the Parthenon and Poseidon temple in Sunion, known as the ancient holy triangle.
