The tiny island of old town Gallipoli has over 20 Churches. This Franciscan Church is located at the other end of old town facing the sea. It's a nice 17c Baroque Church, free to visit.
Built 400 years ago this is a nice church facing the sea on one side and the small streets of the old town on the other. The exterior is relatively bare and the interior is very simple, as appropriate...
This church has recently been renovated. The front has an inset arch over the main door and a flat roof, blending in with its surroundings. Open also in the evenings from 9:00 pm.
Opens every day. Normally closes a few hours at midnight and opens again in the afternoon, around 17.30. There is no suggestion or invitation to enter outside, and the interior can be at simple sight ...
