The volcanic eruptions are beautiful.
Original Text
It is a beautiful place with a black volcanic eruption and cliffs, which is also called a black sand dune. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes from the parking lot, but if you are interested in geology and terrain, you can enjoy the beauty.
When I asked at the rental car shop, "I will climb 15 minutes from the entrance (???). If you see the sea, you will climb 5 and 6 minutes (???). It's hard to walk because there's a lot of sand here, and it's dangerous on windy days, so you shouldn't go. I'm sorry (???). " (???) is my question, and even if I ask more questions, the conversation doesn't get mixed up. I went to the site and all the questions melted. It's a "cliff" completely different from the dunes I imagined. The windy day is dangerous ...
It's quite far from the parking lot in about 15 minutes on foot. It is a frank impression that it is like this. But it may be a different impression during the sunset time. At first glance, it seems that you can go up by car (no car passage), but it becomes a bad road from the middle, and it is almost impossible to make a U-turn. And there is a side groove in places that are hard to see. You should never go by car ahead of the parking lot.
I wondered if I would go to the sea because it was a "sand dune" ... I just went uphill from the entrance. why? If you walk for about 20 minutes while thinking, you can see the sea. It's more like a small gravel than sand, and it's a little hard to walk. I think Hachijojima is everywhere, but be careful because the wind is strong. The parking space was 2〜3 platform, and it felt like it was stopped by the side of the road.
I went to June 2017. It is a place known for "Kurosago Sand Dunes". A dune made of black lava grains spreads on the slopes along the sea. This is the scenery I have seen elsewhere. The day I went was a very windy day, my feet were bad, the sidewalk railings were broken, and I felt a little dangerous.
