Shopping - you can buy souvenirs related to the site. The site is really beautiful. It's green, lush and has very fresh air. 👌 The key attraction is the volcano. You walk along the outer crust of the volcano and you can see wonderful views of the city. Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark also known as Leiqiong Global Geopark Haikou is a national park located approximately 15 km southwest of Haikou city. The geopark has more than one hundred volcanoes; craters, lava tunnels, breathtaking views, lakes, stunning fauna and flora. The Leiqiong Haikou Volcanic Cluster Geopark is located in Shishan Town, Xiuying District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. It is a park that primarily features maar volcanic geomorphology, along with coastal geomorphology, structural geological geomorphology, and various other geological relics. It boasts a good natural ecology and a rich cultural landscape. The park is situated at the southern tip of China and is part of the Leiqiong UNESCO Global Geopark. The other part of the geopark is located on the Leizhou Peninsula in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. The entire geopark, consisting of the Zhanjiang Park, Haikou Park, and the Qiongzhou Strait, has been awarded the title of 'UNESCO Global Geopark' by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The park's region has experienced multiple periods of volcanic eruptions, creating a unique geographical and geological environment. This has led to the formation of a vast basalt plateau, a wealth of volcanic geomorphology, as well as geological relic landscapes of volcanic rock marine erosion and marine sedimentation. It has also given rise to the local unique volcanic culture. In the afternoon, the weather is unpredictable, but fortunately, the temperature is quite pleasant, making a stroll around very comfortable. The entire volcanic crater park area is not very large, with an upper and a lower path. The upper path offers a panoramic view of Haikou City and reaches the highest point of Haikou City. The park has a variety of volcanoes and is a natural geological museum. From the commanding heights of the volcano crater, you can overlook Haikou city and the Qiongzhou Strait, offering charming views. Following the trails in the scenic area, you will see lush tropical plants along the way, as well as landscapes left by volcanic eruptions such as basalt and lava flows. There is also a volcanic stone culture park that displays village gates, stone mills, stone bowls, stone basins, stone tables, and sugar cane tools made from volcanic stones over 2,000 years ago, making you feel as if you've stepped back into the Stone Age. The trail ends at the Volcano Temple, with a horizontal tablet inscribed with 'Mountains Match the Heavens' and stone tablets engraved with 'Great King God', 'Earth God', and 'Yingzhu God'. There are 199 steps on the slope, with 99 representing the Double Ninth Festival and 100 meaning that completing this volcano crater will lead to a long life of a hundred years. Further up is the Ma'anling volcano crater, one of the world's most intact extinct volcano craters, with a depression in the middle and two peaks rising to the north and south, respectively called Fenglu Ridge and Baozi Ridge, which from a distance look like a huge saddle, hence the name Ma'anling. There are 5 viewing spots along the circular mountain trail where you can enjoy the view of the volcano crater. Among them, the Ma'anling volcano crater is the highest point in Haikou, with an altitude of 222.8 meters, offering a great view on clear days, and many tourists take photos here. The following routes are places I think are very good after riding. Every time I go out for a ride, I like to ride different routes. This way, I can have different experiences and scenery every time~ 🌟Route one: Shi Tea Village—Volcanic Dendrobium Garden—Mei She Village The surroundings of Haikou are full of the breath of nature along the volcanic slow road and Shi Tea Village cycling route. The road into the volcano mouth is connected, there are few people and few cars (almost none), the scenery is beautiful and there are special green cycling channels set up, which are particularly nice. The key is that you can experience uphill, downhill, and bends. The ups and downs are quite large, which is really friendly to riders. You can experience the feeling of rapid sprint! Don't worry about not having delicious food. There are coffee shops in the village. I recommend the spicy chicken farmhouse. You can order Shishan tofu, which is one of the local specialties. There are also dry-fried lamb and wild vegetables, which are all delicious😋 🌟Route two: In Rongshan Liao Fishing Village, you can feel the beach🏖️ and sea breeze. Don't be too comfortable.
