An old company that is said to have existed since the end of the 14th century. It became a battlefield during the Hakodate War, and it is famous that the Enomoto army applied for surrender here. It is closer to Goryokaku Station than the middle point of JR Hakodate Station and Goryokaku Station, and tourists do not visit unless they are a fan at the end of the Edo period, but it is quiet and quaint, and the annual festival is 9/15.
I went to the shrine for the first time because it is the Ujigami of my family. You can worship without lining up at around 7 am on New Year's Day. It's been crowded since after 8 o'clock. There are many other companies, such as Inari, so we recommend that you prepare a large amount of 5 yen coins for donations. There is no doubt that this year will be a wonderful year!
It was near Goryokaku 2 When you pass through the second torii gate, the precincts are well maintained and large. It was a beautiful precinct with large trees and picturesque. Please do it if you have time.

Takeaki Enomoto, the former Shogunate army, and Keisuke Otori, who were at Kameda Hachimangu, which is a 5-minute walk from the middle of Hakodate Station and Goryokaku Station, on May 17, 1869 at the end of the Boshin War. We exchanged a pledge of surrender with Kiyotaka Kuroda and others of the new government army. The place where the discussions were arranged was this old hall of worship. The wall board of the building has bullet marks from the previous battle.

It is about a 20-minute walk from Goryokaku Station. The large precincts were well maintained and I was able to worship calmly. There is a red stamp.
