Hong Kong's Tsim Sha Tsui has such an amazing Space Museum
After hearing from locals during my trip to Hong Kong, Wednesday is the public opening day for Hong Kong museums. Just so happens that we were traveling in the Tsim Sha Tsui area and decided to give the Hong Kong Space Museum a try with a tentative mindset
🔸【Museum Experience】
1. The entire science museum has two floors: the first floor is the celestial stars science popularization exhibition area; the second floor is the space achievement exhibition area, featuring astronauts, rockets, etc.
2. Inside the exhibition hall, there is a micro-movie about the Big Bang, which offers an incredible experience. The movie is available in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English versions, playing in rotation.
3. If you're traveling with children, this is also a great educational and entertaining destination.
4. The opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 13:00 to 21:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 21:00 (note that, except for free admission on Wednesday, tickets cost 10 at other times)

There are several nice activities at the Space Museum. Current exhibit is on electricity and planet earth. There is a kids playground with is related to science at level 3. Too bad we are unable to watch the show.
It’s outstanding! Reasons to Recommend: Kids gain great experience about the space. There do provide some space games for fun!
I've been here at the space museum with my daughter, and it's really nice. This is perfect if you bring your kids here in Hong Kong.
Must visit when you visit Hong Kong. It’s very insightful and a memorable experience. It’s also very affordable. Visit it when you get the chance!
an interesting and educational place, especially for families and science enthusiasts. The museum facilities are well maintained and the areas inside are clean and comfortable.
The Hong Kong Space Museum is located next to the Tsim Sha Tsui Sea, adjacent to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Hong Kong Art Museum and the Tsim Sha Tsui Bell Tower. It is one of the museums under the Department of Leisure and Cultural Services. Construction began in 1977 and the chief architect is Mr. Li Minggen of the Works Bureau. The Hong Kong Space Museum, which opened in October 1980, is a museum of astronomy and space science in Hong Kong. The unique egg-shaped shell has long been one of the landmarks of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The space museum is located at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, adjacent to the Hong Kong Art Museum and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Its semicircular architecture is a striking museum for the promotion of astronomy and space science. Tickets: HK$10 for adults, free of charge every Wednesday. Transport Line: 1. Exit E of Tsim Sha Tsui Station on the MTR Tsuen Wan Line. Walk to Saisbury Road and turn right. Take the pedestrian tunnel next to the YMCA to the Hong Kong Space Museum. 2. Take the Star Ferry from Central or Wan Chai to Tsim Sha Tsui for about 10 minutes. The first day we arrived in Hong Kong was raining, and we were not interested in visiting Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars, and it coincided with Wednesday, so the Hong Kong Space Museum became a good place for us to avoid the rain and pass the time. The venue is divided into east and west wings, and the egg-shaped east wing is the core of the space museum. It is equipped with Ho Hongxu Tianxiang Hall, Space Science Exhibition Hall, All-Tianyu Film Screening Room, and multiple production workshops. There are many interactive projects, such as experiencing centrifugal forces, feeling spacewalk, operating spacecraft, etc. My dad enjoyed himself in it. The West Wing has an astronomical exhibition hall, lecture hall, sky book store, Hong Kong Space Museum Resource Center, which is basically for students or activities. The Sky Elephant Hall is equipped with a hemispheric screen with a diameter of 23 meters, and in addition to the first all-day film screening equipment in the Eastern Hemisphere, it is the first astronomical museum in the world with a fully automatic Sky Elephant program control system. Every year, the Hong Kong Space Museum uses the digital astronomical projection system to produce astronomical programs, and selects excellent all-day movies and three-dimensional ball screen movies from abroad to play in the Astronomical Hall. The Hong Kong Space Museum holds many promotional activities every year, including astronomical carnival, astronomical happy hours, fun experimental classes, astronomical competitions, astronomical lectures, astronomical film appreciation, etc.
Highly recommended for the family trip, since everything in Hong Kong is more expensive but there is a place where you can pay only 20 HKD for adults and Free entry for kids. My friends and I were so impressed with the Science Education tasks provided by them. Great place for times killing kids and moms. the twin and my daughter had so much fun and sharing their experiences. Three kids and three adults for 60 HKD for unlimited time in the building. Worth of money and time to visit. Our kids love it.
