Guanghui Bridge

Guanghui Bridge is located near the town Siye Assembly Hall, across the Nanshi River, it is rumored that Zhang Shicheng at the end of the Yuan Dynasty was the palace after the uprising. The bridge was in front of Guanghui Palace, so it was named because Zhang Shicheng was the leader of the peasant uprising at the end of the peasant uprising, and this bridge is also called Zhang Wang Temple Bridge. In March 1989, it was listed as a cultural relics protection unit in Huzhou City.

When you come to Nanxun Ancient Town, you will find that its bridge is very distinctive. If you look closely, the shape of each bridge is different. The reason why Guanghui Bridge is large is because there is a pier under Guanghui Bridge called Guanghui Bridge Pier. Here you can take a cruise and visit the ancient town of Nanxun from land and water. I took pictures of Guanghui Bridge during the day and night. There are people here during the day for morning exercises, there are lights at night, the most important thing is that there are 4 words on the other side of the bridge, which also fully reflects the culture and history of the bridge.

Nanxun Ancient Town is a typical Jiangnan water town, the river network is dense, there are many bridges intersecting, there are many ancient bridges. Guanghui Bridge is one of them, because it is named after the opposite of Guanghui Palace. The long bridge is too long to be tested, and the bridge is built in the Qing Dynasty and is a cultural relics protection unit in Huzhou City.

Guanghui Bridge, as the name implies, is the bridge in front of Guanghui Palace. Zhang Shicheng, the leader of the peasant uprising at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, occupied the Guanghui Palace as the palace, and changed the Guanghui Palace into the Zhangwang Temple. Guanghui Bridge is a single-hole stone arch bridge, the construction period is not available, the Qing Dynasty Jiaqing and Tongzhi years have experienced two reconstruction. The bridge is 18 meters long,3.32 meters wide, 13 meters high, and there are 24 steps up and down. In front of the bridge was a pair of stone lions, the three-dimensional shape, the finely carved details, and the large round stone beads that could be turned in the lion's mouth, all showed the good intentions of the craftsmen.

Nanxun Ancient Town is not known for the ancient bridge, but it does not mean that the ancient bridge here has no characteristics. Unlike many ancient towns in Jiangnan, the stone bridge here is more atmospheric and thick. This is because the ancient river canal in the ancient town was a commercial water transportation channel.
