JiaYeTang Library

Jiayetang Bookstore and Xiaolianzhuang are an organic whole. Jiayetang is built by Liu Chenggan, the grandson of Liu Yu. He is a talented person who loves to collect books and interacts with many Jinshi people. At present, Jiayetang and Xiaolianzhuang have merged into key cultural relics protection units across the country.

The Jiayetang library in Nanxun Ancient Town is actually a scenic spot I really want to visit. If you visit Nanxun, you will find Jiayetang in the southwestmost part of the ancient town, and if you understand its history and the content and richness of the books hidden inside, you will feel that this is a low-key little hidden. It's just a pity that Jiayetang has been in a state of maintenance for several years. Like me, tourists who want to visit can only look at the door and sigh. Fortunately, there is a small garden here. There are pools in the garden, ancient wooden rockery, and a stone called "whistling stone", a small hole in the middle of the stone, blowing against this hole, can make a snoring sound.

Entering Nanxun Jiaye Library, we have to dump it. Nanxun businessmen are rich, rich, literary, well-regulated and well-educated. This is one of the most famous private libraries in modern China. A Chinese-style building is situated in the north and south. Fifty-two libraries give back the information of that year. Its scale and remains are amazing. Among them, the stories about the protection of the library, which has been on the verge of survival for several times, are also very sad. The whole library has a quiet environment, beautiful scenery, two parts of the library and garden, and many relics can be seen in the exhibition hall. Presumably, history is surging, and after the waves wash out the sand, what remains will shine. To Nanxun, this library is one of the must-see.

There are 52 warehouses under and below Jiayetang Library, with more than 300,000 copies. There are many precious copies of Ming Dynasty, manuscripts and prohibited books in Qing Dynasty. With Tianyi Pavilion in Ningbo, Wenlan Pavilion in Hangzhou, Yuhai Tower in Ruian and Jiayetang in Huzhou, the four famous libraries in the south of the Yangtze River "are collectively called".

Gengshu has three huge rockery rockeries in Taihu Lake. They are exquisite and precious. Most curious, there is a stone erected in the garden, with a small hole in the stomach, and people's mouth aiming at blowing, it will make a loud noise, very similar to the tiger whistle, which can be chaotic. There are two Zhu characters on the stone, Ruan Yuan Title "Xiaoshi" of the Qing Dynasty University student. Tourists come here to try quite a lot.

​ Jiayetang Collection Book Building is located on the bank of Nanxun Town, and is close to Liu's private garden Xiaolianzhuang to the east. Jiayetang Collection Bookstore is a garden-style layout of Chinese and Western, with a portico-style hallway building. All wooden windows are hollowed out with the words "Jiayetang Collection Bookstore". Outside the building is a large garden, pond and rockery.
