Standing on the gun platform, it's not difficult to imagine what it would have been like for soldiers watching square rigged sailing ships approach. One of the best views on Tresco.

Spectacular views

This makes an excellent viewpoint over the islands. Lovely blue sea and sky, heaven on earth. Good view of Old Grimsby. Lovely walks nearby.
