The street to present the cherry blossoms to Ieyasu Tokugawa

    Original Text

There was a signpost on the Mitsuru Kaido near Inami Shrine. Mitsuru Kaido is a street for presenting Tsuru to Ieyasu Tokugawa. Mitsuru was made in Masuya-cho near Gifu Park and was carried to Edo via the Mitsuru Kaido. There is no scenery that reminds me of the special time, but it's only a signpost. By the way, it takes 5 days from Gifu to Edo.

    Highway through Gifu City

    Original Text

It is a highway that runs through the center of Gifu city. It used to continue to Nagoya, and it seems that he carried a cherry blossom caught on the Nagara River, so it is called Mitsuru Kaido. It was now a back street of national route 256.

is it one of the things that shows that ogaki is a key point of transportation?

    Original Text

Discovered a sign in the central city of Ogaki. The Highway is a highway connecting Obama and Kyoto, so why in Ogaki? I thought, but this is a highway connecting Gifu to Atsuta, which presents to Ieyasu Tokugawa. I think it is one of the indications that Ogaki is a key point of transportation.

for people who like history and food

    Original Text

It is a route (highway) to form the city of Gifu and provide food to the city. Where did you procure ingredients for feasts such as Nobunaga, and long-established restaurants along the highway are introduced.

    they're all over the place.

    Original Text

Even though it is called Mitsuru Kaido, the appearance has changed dramatically because it is along the road where cars come and go, but if you walk a little, it seems that there are some traces of old days. It's a long road, so I think it's a good idea to decide where to walk. The pillar of the Mitsuru Kaido stands south of Inami-dori.
