    Quiet old house

It's an old building in a residential area, so it's hard to notice, but it's a memorial hall that exhibits the achievements of Mr. Torahiko Terada. Admission is free.

    It's hard to be justified.

A scientist famous for his sayings, "Natural disasters come when they are forgotten" and "It's easy to scare things too much or too much, but it's quite difficult to scare them justly." This is the mansion where Dr. Torahiko Terada spent his boyhood. It is a facility that you can visit for free, and if you know Professor Terada, you can enjoy it very much. It's not far from Kochi Jo castle and Okawasuji Samurai residence Museum on foot, so I think it's good to visit while walking around the city of Kochi ...

    Terada torahiko Memorial Hall

    Original Text

When I went to Kochi, I found out that there is a memorial hall for Torahiko Terada. There is a restored magnificent master house and a relocated living room (study room). At the entrance, the letters of Torahiko Terada's residence by Tomitaro Makino are engraved, which seems to be Kochi. Inside the main building, the favorite organ and the statue of Torahiko Terada are exhibited. In addition, the garden is planted with aogiri written in the essay "Remembrance of the Garden". I am grateful that the admission fee is free.

He is a great man of Kochi, but he hasn't lived in Kochi for long. However, when I think that the honest question of childhood, which continued to study lightning and Sumi-ryushi after that, was raised in this area, I feel the superiority of the education of sentiment in the countryside. Around Tsubaki Town, there is no remnant of that time anymore, so it's fun to envision the childhood of a talented person at that time in such a place. Recommended.
