the precincts of change
Original Text
From the parking lot where several cars can be parked, worship through the stone steps approach. Pass through the simple Niomon gate and pass through the cedar grove to reach the garden, but this garden is quite well maintained. The main hall, which seems to have been recently restored, and the pretty splendid back of the warehouse stand out.
I went to the opening book of 8/10. I arrived around 9 o'clock, but the chief priest who was guided said, "I'm a little calm after finishing the memorial service for the opening of the book from 4 o'clock. I'll be able to come a lot from now on." When I was busy, I was able to worship various Buddhas such as the statue of Eleven-faced Kannon and Shaka Nyorai, and I carefully explained the Eleven-faced Kannon and the story that protected him from Nobunaga's burning. He was a handsome monk like an actor who played an elegant monk. The garden is also beautifully maintained ...
It is presumed to be a considerable old temple because it is said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku.
Original Text
It is said that this temple was built by the Prince during the Asuka period. At first, it belonged to the Tendai sect, but it was said that the temple tower was rebuilt with the support of the Edo Shogun's 1000 5 Dai Shogun Tsunayoshi about a year later. It was now a Rinzai sect temple. Two nationally designated important cultural properties, the wooden eleven-faced Kannon statue and the wooden seated statue of Shaka Nyorai, are preserved here.
Climb the stairs and you will find a splendid mountain gate. It is a temple where the straight tree 々 is dignified, the spirit is tightened and the spine is stretched.
