A solemn tribute to the World War II.

Two years ago, I visited the Kundasang War Memorial in Sabah, a poignant site that beautifully encapsulates history and culture. The memorial, nestled against the backdrop of Mount Kinabalu, stands as a solemn tribute to the World War II prisoners of war who endured immense hardships.
Exploring the well-maintained gardens and monuments offered a profound insight into the sacrifices made during that tumultuous time. The atmosphere exuded a mix of reverence and tranquility, allowing for a reflective journey through the memorial's various sections. The stories depicted through exhibits and plaques provided a somber yet enriching experience, making it not just a historical site but a place to connect with the past. My visit was a meaningful exploration, blending education with a deep appreciation for the resilience and strength of those who faced the challenges of wartime Sabah.
In 2024, I wish to visit Mulu Cave.
not that Wow! but definetely still one of the things to do while in Kundasang, with just RM4 per entrance I guess it's good enough to keep the place goin about, bit of historical & beautiful garden with lots of flowers👍 overall for me its still worth the visit👍even my parents love é short visit here
My recent visit to the Kundasang War Memorial left a lasting impression on me. Nestled in the serene highlands, this memorial serves as a poignant tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War II.The well-maintained gardens surrounding the memorial create a peaceful atmosphere, allowing visitors to reflect on the historical significance of the site. The beautifully landscaped gardens, adorned with various memorial structures, provide a solemn yet picturesque setting. The information presented at the memorial offers a comprehensive insight into the history and events surrounding the war, making it an educational experience. The respectful maintenance of the site and the inclusion of personal stories enhance the emotional impact of the visit. While the Kundasang War Memorial may not be an extensive attraction, its importance lies in its ability to evoke reflection and remembrance. I highly recommend a visit for those seeking a meaningful connection with history in a tranquil and respectful setting.
It was built for British and Australian soldiers who died in the war, including the British Garden, the Australian Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Shen Si Garden. Each garden planted flowers representing their garden family to pay tribute to the soldiers who died here. Among them, the small shops are full of newspapers, maps and subsequent memorials. It is a beautiful, heavy, and thought-provoking place. The attractions are really so-so. I bought tickets for adults RM3 Children RM2 and there is nothing to see. General park. Generally visible flowers and plants outside. But in the back corner you can see the scenery on the mountain. The location is in the city.
There are 4 parks here. English Park, Australia, Borneo and the last Contemplation Park. You can walk here while you treat the roses in the cool atmosphere, just like walking in a garden in the city of London.
