Located in the Kuixing Building (1-4 floor), at the top of Longshou Mountain, the cultural relics and fossils unearthed in Liaoyuan are displayed here. Although there are not many exhibits, the content is still relatively rich, telling us about the long history and culture here.
Kuixing Building can be said to be one of the landmark buildings in Liaoyuan City, the museum is located in the building, here mainly displays various cultural relics unearthed in Liaoyuan area, reflecting the human activities and local development process of a long time ago.
Important exhibits of the Liaoyuan Museum include bronze-edged swords and bronze axes in the Bronze Age, bronze-handled iron swords unearthed in the tomb of Changxing in the Han Dynasty, bronze mirrors and four-ear coarse porcelain bottles in the Tianqing inscriptions in the Liaojin period, Qing Dynasty life book in Qianlong period and the folk cultural relics of the Manchu people. There are a total of 1,130 cultural relics in the museum, of which 4 are in the first-level collection, 17 are in the second-level collection and 47 are in the third-level collection.
