Watching a ferry in/out
Stopped by while running around Shimabara peninsula (100km+). Small, but very beautiful park. Can't stop watching a ferry in/out which is fun! There is a port for Amakusa, Kumamoto pref near by.
Kuchinotsu Port has prospered as a base for Christian missionary work, such as the holding of a national missionary conference by Jesuit missionary Valignano, but now it has only a monument and a bust.
I visited before boarding the ferry at Kuchinotsu Port. The sea here was calm and the scenery was beautiful. It is close to the ferry terminal to Amakusa, so it is recommended to stop by if you have time.
The atmosphere was very nice because the view of Amakusa and the harbor opposite combined with the greenery. When the ferry from Amakusa entered the port, it felt a little noisy.
It is adjacent to the Shimatetsu ferry terminal across Amakusa. I took a walk around to kill time in the waiting time after accepting the ferry. The statue of Nanban at the Shimatetsu Bus Terminal is full of love and respect. ‼
