Quiet, out-of-the-way temple worth a visit if you have time
Visited Shōfuku-ji today on a day trip from Yokohama to Odawara. Main attraction for the day was supposed to be Odawara-jo (Odawara Castle), but this serene, out-of-the-way, quiet, beautiful temple w...
I visited Shofukuji Temple at Bando Sanjusansho No. 5 Fudasho. It is also called Iizumi Kannon. It is about a 25-minute walk from Kamomiya Station on the Tokaido Line. Nio stands in front of the parking lot. When you enter the precincts, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Edo period as it is. Not to mention the building, the tree 々 is wonderful.

I visited for the first time as part of a tour of Bando Sanjusansho Kannon Sacred Ground. I walked about 20 minutes from Kamomiya station. The temple and shrine were on the same site. It was past 4 in the afternoon, but when I visited the Sutra office next door, I was able to get a red stamp.
