Worth visiting if in Nagasaki
The beautiful grounds are well worth a stroll around. Especially in Spring /summer when the flowers are out it is beautiful. You can't go into this castle unfortunately, however once you make your way ...
We stopped here with friends and their kids. There are nearby tables for picnics. The castle is a keep with some walls restored. You can get to the shrine easily for more to see.
It is Mr. Omura's residence. I walked around the main enclosure, but the stone walls and walls are magnificent. If you attack here, you will be easily shot by a gun. Currently, it seems that it is a place of relaxation for citizens as a castle ruins park.
The castle where the government office of the former Omura domain was located. 2 10,000 7 It is a magnificent castle that does not suit the ransom of 1000 Koku, but it may be related to the fact that Mr. Omura had been with this place since the Kamakura period. However, it seems that the castle tower was not built at the height of the castle, so it seems that it was a fortress centered on stone walls. It seems that the defense force is high just because it is a castle built on a peninsula protruding into Omura Bay, but it seems that empty moats were also dug. Also, the surrender moat is ... in the sea.
A 20-minute walk from Omura Station. Sakurajima Castle was built in 1599 and abandoned in 1871. Although the stone wall remains, the area around the moat is maintained as Omura Park, and Omura Shrine is enshrined at the site of the main enclosure, so few people may visit here conscious of the ruins of the castle.
