It is not a famous mountain, but it is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan.
It will be an approach from Katsuhara Station on the JR Koshimi Kita Line, but it will depart Fukui at 9:08 and arrive at Katsuhara at 10:36. It seems that the train that is earlier than this cannot go to Katsuhara. It takes 3 and a half hours to climb by piston from the former Katsuhara Ski Resort and 2 and a half hours to descend, so if you take a break, it will take 7 ～ 8 hours, so approach by car in the short season of the day. I went up from the Sakai (Oniya) course.
The forest road runs quite high, and it is a course that can be expected to shorten the approach time. Round trip 3.5 I was able to climb in time. The forest road is rough, but I think it's okay if it's a small car.
Arashima Dake, which was not surprisingly bad
Mt. Arashima was selected as one of the 100 famous mountains because it is a local mountain of Hisaya Fukada. It may be undeniable that it is inferior to other 100 famous mountains, but it was a surprisingly good mountain. I climbed from Katsuhara Ski Resort, but the uphill slope in the ski resort was the most difficult course. Be careful not to fly too much as you start.
