Turtles in the pond was very cute!
This pond is located inside the Tennoji Park which you can access easily from the Tennoji station. There is also a zoo and a museum in the park that you can visit. From the pond, the view with Hitachi...
Chausuyama is at the northern end of the vast Tennoji Park, but there was a river bottom pond to lie on the south side of the foot. There are walking paths around, and in the center of the pond is a bridge called Waki Bridge with bright red balustrade. It's rich in greenery, so I thought it was just right for a walk course. It is said that this river bottom pond is an artificial pond. It was made by construction work to prevent flood damage around the beginning of the Heian period.
Kawazokoike is a "Kawazokoike" located on the east side of Tennoji Park and on the south side of Chausuyama Kofun tumulus. When Wake Kiyomaro opened the Kamimachi plateau to change the flow of the former Yamato River in 788, the remnants of the Chausuyama Kofun tumulus were used. It is said that this is the river bottom pond. The bright red bridge that crosses the center of the pond north and south is named "Waki Bashi" from the name of Waki Kiyomaro.
8 It seems to be the product of the great construction of the century.

There is a river bottom pond on the north side of Tennoji Park, in front of Chausuyama. This pond had a Japanese atmosphere with a bright vermilion balustrade, which had a good accent. This river bottom pond is said to be a remnant of Wake Kiyomaro digging the Horikawa River, which crosses the Kamimachi plateau. It's the time of Wake Kiyomaro, so I think it's 8 century, but digging such a big pond would have been a big construction at that time.
Before going to Shitennoji Temple, I stopped by this park and took a walk. The autumn leaves season was near the end, but there were still yellow and red trees 々 leaves around the pond and it was beautiful in the water. The large park seems to have many faces, but the waterfront is especially reassuring.

A vermilion bridge is built.
