It’s not a grand castle or country estate, but a high-end house on the outskirts of Ottawa. I won’t consider it a “must-visit” place to visit Ottawa, but if you have time, visit this historic place. This is a three-story house, which was the best decorated place at the time. There will be staff around to guide you or answer other questions, and I found them very knowledgeable

We were pleasantly surprised by these charming staff who enthusiastically shared the knowledge and stories of the house with the collection inside. This well-preserved home has a stunning collection of genuine (not replicas) and the residence of our two prime ministers (Sir Wilfred Laurie and Lyon Mackenzie King) is definitely worth a visit. Staff let visitors watch freely, but for every question we ask, staff share their very interesting insights with you, and spend some time chatting with them!
