One of the most beautiful churches I´ve ever seen!
If you are heading to Oulu, from the North, or have some spare time, please take the chance to go to this small village. This church is amazingly beautiful, with some remarkable paintings on the walls...
Beautiful church if you get lost north of Oulu
About a 20 min car ride from Oulu town centre. Not worth the trip on its own but must visit if you happen to pass by.
The church full of baroque-style paintings
The Haukipudas Church is famous for its artworks. Interior of the wooden church is richly decorated by baroque-style paintings of Mikael Toppelius. The paintings were made in 1774-1779, ca. ten years ...
