    Our second visit here

    Drove to the end of the road and did some photography. Our overseas guests loved it. Not a lot to see, but plenty of birdlife and open spaces. Highly recommend for a day trip.

    Great Field Trip Idea

    This island (Chandeleur) actually represents the outer boundary of the old Mississippi River Delta from any earlier Age. Our group did a lot of seining here and came up with an abundance of species. ...

    A piece of land

    Which might have more to see at a different time of year. We drove till the road ended, just to get a sense of the surrounding landscape. Though not here, we saw plenty of birds.

    Great fishing

    We fish a lot of areas off Venice and this is very good. Lots of cool wildlife in the area and just a beautiful way to spend a fall day. Very enjoyable.
