Doumen is not a big place, but it has a long history of more than 1,200 years. Whether it is small bridges and flowing water, or residential roads, all retain the simple and elegant environment. Doumen has been an important salt producing area in Shaoxing since the King of Yue Jujian. The Yushan Doumen Gate in Doumen has been an important water conservancy hub in Shaoxing from the Yonghe Year of the Han Dynasty to the Jiajing Year of the Ming Dynasty. In 1954, the gate was demolished and a bridge was built. In 1981, Jianshe Bridge was rebuilt into Doumen Bridge, and cars can pass on the bridge. The old gate has disappeared and is gradually forgotten. Only the rock that could not be removed during the Tang and Song Dynasties was still in the middle of the river. Doumen Old Street is built on the mountain and along the river, with a total length of 1.5 kilometers. The old street is deep and narrow, and consists of five streets: East Street, West Street, South Street, Mihang Street and Yuewan Street. The streets are paved with bluestone slabs with staggered seams, and the width is only between two and three meters - each sitting on the threshold, you can pass cigarettes to light across the street. The formation of Doumen Old Street has a history of more than a thousand years. Most of the buildings in the old street are relics from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although the bricks and tiles of the existing buildings in the old street are dilapidated, and some building walls have grown moss, all this cannot hide its ancient and charming history and culture. Some directors have taken a fancy to the unique natural and cultural landscape here, and films such as "Besieged City" and "Women of the Lake" were shot here. In Doumen Old Street, the ancient buildings two or three hundred years ago can be seen everywhere. But there are very few that truly protect the integrity. Among the more than 60 old Taimen, there are only a handful of complete Taimen. Xinchang Taimen is located opposite the old street. It is a building in the late Qing Dynasty. There are faintly recognizable reliefs on the blue tiles. There are a few clumps of ferns growing on the door bucket. Bamboo poles support. Taimen was originally built by a landlord surnamed Feng who opened a bank. The whole Taimen is magnificent, with a total of five entrances. There is a piece of empty space not far from the entrance of the platform door. It is the third house. It used to be a large living room. It's a pity that it fell into disrepair and the living room collapsed a few years ago. The fourth entry house was converted into a passage in the early 1960s, and the walls are engraved with the brand of the era. The buildings on the eighth floor and the bottom of the building have also changed their original appearance, mixed with modern elements, and the anti-theft doors and marble floors are incompatible with the ancient buildings. On the open space in front of the building, there are two lonely stone cabinets engraved with the word "nurture", telling the liveliness and prosperity of the past. "Yu Zhidang" Taimen. On West Street. This once lively pawnshop has lost its former glory, but if you look up a little, you can see that the carvings on the closed windows are still beautiful.
Doumen Town is a good place, although not big, but a clean and tidy town, Century Plaza should be its center, buildings are full of popularity. These days just in the holding of the 2016 International Food Festival, Century Plaza is still quite lively.
Old Doumen Street, the story of generations,
Doumen Old Street is still relatively well maintained in Shaoxing urban and rural areas. In addition, there are Lao Sanjiang gates to see. This place was originally the sea to the north of Shaoxing. Lao Sanjiang could see the Qianjiang tide 40 or 50 years ago. Now because of the sea, the tide is dozens of kilometers away.
A historical tourist attraction that is so straightforward to go, the cultural history of the monuments is long, the transportation here is very convenient, the accommodation nearby is also a lot, the price is cheap, there are many foodies, there are many travelers who have time to go and see, and the photo is also a good place.
We work in the seaside, usually busy work, rare to go out, come here in a great mood, feel all tired is gone.
