顾影自莲This is the Bull Race in Padang, on the Indonesian island of West Sumatra. The local Indonesian language is called Pacu Jawi. This annual traditional event is usually held during the harvest season. It is the origin of every Saturday in July and August to prove itself. The cows are healthy and powerful, so they can sell at the market for a good price. About 4,000 cows will be used for the cattle race. Generally, Western media have evaluated this as savage and dangerous. Locals will step on the pole and grab the tail of the cow and rush forward through the mud. Quite benevolent (I don't think there is any tomato festival, mud festival is very civilized) Danger is quite dangerous, not only for the people who race cattle, but also for the people who see several people kicked and stepped on.
