Haishan Temple was founded in the first year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1875 AD) and completed in the eleventh year before the Republic of China (1901 AD). It is the earliest temple in eastern Taiwan and a holy place of Buddhism with a long history in Taiwan. Originally called the Guanyin Temple, it was later called the Haishan Temple because of its backing to the sea, where perennial incense is thriving. Every year, large-scale religious activities are held, such as the celebration of Lantern Festival. Praise.

Haishan Temple is a famous temple in Taidong. The whole temple is a red structure. The incense here is very strong. Many buildings are very large and have high artistic value.
The temple architecture is quite elegant, very artistic, and there is no lack of solemnity.
