The "48th" Martyrs Memorial Hall was established to commemorate the historical events of martyrs Wang Ruofei and Qin Bangxian, representatives of the Communist Party of China who attended the negotiations of the Communist Party of China on April 8, 1946. It was built in 1960. The construction area is378.7 square meters and covers an area of 1730 square meters. The whole building sits north to south. There are five halls, displaying martyrs' relics, wreckage of the plane and other cultural relics. On May 24, 1965, Shanxi Province announced the "48" Martyrs Memorial Hall as the first provincial-level cultural relics protection units, one of the province's demonstration bases for patriotic education. In January 2005, the "Four Eight" Martyrs Memorial Hall was listed as a national red tourism classic scenic spot construction project.
