The lightening up of a school

#springwander In 1701, his vassal Nagatada Tsuda spent more than 30 years to complete the "Hall of Learning" with an almost identical appearance as it is today. The building that represents the former Kangu School is the auditorium, which is designated as a national treasure. The large roof of the Irimoya-zukuri and the flower head window are impressive and unique, and the roof, which was originally thatched, has been replaced with Bizen-ware tiles due to renovation. Inside the spacious auditorium, which is supported by 10 round pillars of zelkos, there are also an old-fashioned Analects learning experience while sitting on the floor and learning Analects.

I came to Hinase Town in Okayama Prefecture, where you can eat delicious oysters 🦪. Okayama Prefecture is also known for Bizen ware. As I passed by Gomi Market in the middle of the oyster festival, I stopped by Takara Hachiman Shrine on my way there. I was surprised to see that the lion statues were Bizen ware! And as I passed by Saienji Temple (photo 3), the shachihoko (a shachiko) on the roof? (on the roof on the left) is probably Bizen ware as well. Hinase Town is a town famous for oysters, and it is located on the coast, so you can get to small islands such as Azuma Island by ferry. Oh, Azuma Island is connected by road and bridge, so you can also get there by bus. And a biryani restaurant that is known only to those in the know opened this year. They have oyster biryani, as well as vegan, chicken, and vegetable biryani. The biryani is delicious to die for, but reservations are required. The cute yellow Ako Line runs very few trains on weekends, so be careful. And in Okayama City, I went to Milenga, a famous curry restaurant, and had a curry set. 📍 It takes only an hour by car to Bizen from Himeji. 🚩 It’s a beautiful drive through the mountains and coastal areas of Aioi and Ako cities. 🍜 Enjoyed lunch at Seafood Iso restaurant (海鮮料理磯), which I think is a must try for sashimi lovers. They have special local seasonal seafood. Always fresh. English menu available. 📷 Then had a good coffee at Arcadia Village. This is a good place to capture spectacular fotos at different times of the day. "Mugenan" is a Bizen ware workshop located about a 20-minute walk from JR Ibe Station in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture. "Cafe MUGENAN+" is a cafe directly managed by the pottery manufacturer. They serve their special coffee and exquisite sweets in beautiful Bizen ware baked in their own workshop. The interior is very modern and stylish. It's a relaxing space for adults that matches the atmosphere of Bizen ware. I tried their signature menu items, "Adult Ice Pudding" and "Iced Donuts with Kinako". For my drink, I had latte art done on my cafe latte. The Bizen ware looks great with both the sweets and the coffee, and it looks really stylish and delicious. 【View】Good selection of historical artifacts. It's not a busy museum compared to other museums. Great exhibitions and historical collections. If you are going to enter the Bizen Osafune Sword Museum, this is definitely the best place.

Ushimado olive garden

From the first parking lot of Ushimado Olive Garden, slowly climb up the walking path and you will see an observatory overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. See the small islands, feel the beauty and take pictures. If you want to spend a relaxing time, go to the cafe on the 2nd floor of the olive shop and enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious coffee.
