Booking in advance through their official WeChat account can save you queuing time. I advise you to assess your physical condition before attempting the glass walkway at Baishi Mountain. If you're afraid of heights, you can still see the peaks and forests by taking the regular trail. The cable car up the mountain is divided into two sections. If you're not physically fit, choose a one-way cable car ride followed by a walk down. This saves energy and ensures you don't miss the scenery. Buy the cable car ticket and entrance ticket separately; don't be fooled by bundled tickets. ⚠️ Prices on the mountain are double; bring your own water and snacks. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the temperature difference between day and night on the mountain can reach ten degrees Celsius. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the reeds have already sprouted heads, and when the wind blows, the entire wetland resembles waves. Visit the Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Area at night; the lights shining on the old factory buildings will make everything fascinating for children. 📍 There's a market on Fridays and Saturdays; fewer stalls on weekdays, so don't go empty-handed. ⏰ The busiest time is after 6 PM, but it's also very crowded, so keep a close eye on your child. The next day, visit the Jingdezhen Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Expo Area. You can watch craftsmen throw clay and paint porcelain. Children can try pottery making for 50 yuan; the finished product will be fired and mailed home, taking two weeks. ⚠️ The queue for the experience area closes at 4 PM, so go early. 🍜 Have lunch near the park with cold noodles (it's spicy), so order some non-spicy mixed noodles for the child. Stay near Taoxichuan, within walking distance, convenient for taking the child out in the evening. Spend half a day during the three-day trip to Sanbao Village to play in the stream and collect porcelain shards. Jingdezhen is suitable for children aged four and up who enjoy hands-on activities. Taoxichuan has evening sessions during the National Day holiday, but don't expect to find bargains; just look around. 05 Shaoyang|Hunan Langshan is in Xinning, Shaoyang. Go during the National Day holiday; the Danxia landforms are at their peak red color. 🚄 Take a bus from Shaoyang Station to Xinning, about two and a half hours. Driving is more convenient. For families with children, I recommend Bajiaozhai and Chili Peak. Tianyi Alley is too narrow; even heavier adults struggle, let alone children. 📍 The cable car queue at Bajiaozhai is long. Arrive at the mountain gate before 7:30 AM to save an hour. ⏰ Chili Peak has better light in the afternoon; the climb takes about 40 minutes, and children can manage on their own. ⚠️ Signal is weak in the mountains, so download offline maps beforehand. 🍜 Try the blood duck in Xinning County; children might not like it, so bring some bread. Stay in Xinning County; hotels are around 150 RMB, cheaper than at the scenic area entrance. A three-day itinerary: one day at Bajiaozhai, one day at Chili Peak plus rafting on the Fuyi River, and one day for rest. Langshan is suitable for children over six years old who can hike. There are far fewer people than in Zhangjiajie during the National Day holiday, but don't wear new shoes; the Danxia landforms can chafe your feet. 06 Karamay | Xinjiang We took the kids to Karamay, mainly for the Urho World Devil City. During the National Day holiday, it gets dark late in Xinjiang, so entering the scenic area after 5 PM is ideal for the most magical lighting and sunset views. 📍 Take the mini-train inside the scenic area; you can hop on and off at any of the four stops. The kids loved the Yardang landform section the most. ⚠️ The Devil City is very windy and sandy, so make sure the kids wear hats, scarves, and sunglasses—otherwise they'll suffer. Tickets plus the mini-train ticket price are subject to official announcements on the day. 🍜 Urho town has a famous "Big Plate Chicken" (大盘鸡), a medium portion is enough for two adults and one child. Stay in Karamay city center; hotels are new, and you can get a very good place for around 200 yuan. We spent one day of the three-day trip visiting Black Oil Mountain to see the natural asphalt mounds, which the kids thought looked like aliens. The other day we strolled around Century Park in the city center. This place is suitable for children over five years old who are interested in rocks and landforms. Xinjiang isn't crowded during the National Day holiday, but the journey is long. Flying to Karamay is easier than flying to Urumqi and then driving. 07 Qiannan | Guizhou Libo Zhangjiang River: The water was still clear during the National Day holiday. Xiaoqikong is the core area. With kids, enter from the east gate, take the sightseeing bus to the west gate, and then walk downstream – less effort. 📍 Wolongtan: Arrive before 9 am; the water is calm like a mirror. ⏰ The Water Forest section is the kids' favorite; they can wade in the water. Bring a pair of river wading shoes. ⚠️ Xiaoqikong has visitor limits during the National Day holiday. Book three days in advance through official channels; don't buy tickets at the entrance. 🍜 Eat sour fish soup in Libo County; the kids can easily eat two bowls of rice soaked in the soup. Stay near Libo Ancient Town; there are many guesthouses, and a night market in the evening. Three-day itinerary: One day at Xiaoqikong, one day at Daqikong plus Zhangjiang River rafting, and one day resting in the ancient town. Libo is suitable for children aged four and up who enjoy water activities. It gets crowded during the National Day holiday, but the景区 (scenic area) is well-managed, so the queues aren't too outrageous. Don't wear flip-flops, as the stones in the Water Forest are slippery. 08 Shenyang|Liaoning The last stop back in Northeast China is Shenyang, a good place to wrap things up. Beiling Park opens at 6 AM; take your kids to see squirrels and go boating. There are more local folks than tourists. 📍 Enter from the east gate of the park and head straight to the lake. Boat tickets are 40 yuan for half an hour. ⏰ The air quality is best before 9 AM. Shenyang World Horticultural Exposition Park has a chrysanthemum exhibition during the National Day holiday; kids can spend a whole day there. The Wugou Jingguang Relic Pagoda and Beita Falun Temple are close by, so you can visit them along the way and feed the pigeons at the base of the pagoda. ⚠️ Falun Temple closes at 4 PM, so don't go too late. 🍜 For lunch, go to Lao Siji Hand-Pulled Noodles; the chicken soup noodles with chicken bones are delicious with the kids. Staying near Beiling Park is convenient, with direct access via Metro Line 2, making it easy to get around. A three-day itinerary includes one day at Beiling Park and the World Expo Park, one day at Pagoda Temple and Zhongjie Street, and one day of free time. Shenyang is suitable for children of all ages. Parks aren't crowded during the National Day holiday, but Zhongjie Street can be crowded, so keep a close eye on your child. These eight places are perfect for a three-day trip with kids during the National Day holiday. I highly recommend Zhoukou, Jingdezhen, and Libo: one is quiet, one offers hands-on activities, and one has plenty of water play – your kids will talk about it for days afterward. Taiqing Palace is definitely worth it. It's antique and has a quiet atmosphere, perfect for calming the mind. The architecture is very charming and makes for great photos. The staff are also very friendly and provide detailed explanations. Walking around alone was incredibly relaxing. I'd definitely come back again.

It's quite large; a visit takes about 1.5-2 hours. The staff are very friendly and patiently explain how to get around and where the sightseeing buses are. It's newly built, and the parking lot is quite empty. There aren't many visitors yet, and some areas look like they're still under expansion; it should be very impressive in the future. It's filled with Taoist deities, not Buddhist temples. If you're interested, you can experience Taoist culture. There's also Lao Tzu's cave dwelling, but I didn't see it because I arrived late and it was closed. However, I peeked through the crack in the door and it was indeed a cave. Across Gongwai Street is Lao Tzu's Cultural Park, with a large statue; you can see it from your car. The entire cultural atmosphere of Zhoukou is based on Lao Tzu, which is a wonderful feeling.

Good food, fun and good scenery. I recommend Daji Congee House. The special snacks are fragrant and nourishing. The stir-fried dishes and the multi-grain buns are all delicious. It is especially suitable for families to satisfy the taste of the whole family. Go to burn incense on the first and fifteenth day of the lunar month. The incense at Laojuntai Taishang Laojun and Taiqing Palace Niangniang Temple is very effective! It is a place with great cultural heritage. Wearing Hanfu, you can see the scenery everywhere! Finally, go to Wohe Wetland Park at sunset to check in and take a picture of the sunset over the long river! Have a small barbecue by the river! Perfect! Not expensive! ! !

The Cao Cao Underground Military Tunnel in Bozhou is hailed as the "Underground Great Wall." Stepping into the deep, blue-brick tunnels feels like traveling back to the Three Kingdoms period. The winding passages retain ancient military designs such as cat-ear tunnels and obstacle courses, allowing visitors to truly appreciate the military wisdom of the ancients. Guided tours are available via QR code, creating a rich historical atmosphere. Some passages are low, requiring visitors to bend over and walk slowly; older visitors should be especially careful. It's definitely worth a visit for those interested in the history of the Three Kingdoms. However, it feels overly commercialized, with too many souvenir shops.
悠悠水瓶座Huaxilou
It has a rich historical background and is relatively small; you can see everything in about two hours. Go check it out! Everyone has different tastes, so you're sure to find something you like. Preserving the historical site and leaving a trace of history is the most important thing.

It stops on demand, allowing you to hop on and off easily, saving you time and effort. It's a great value for money and an excellent weekend getaway for the whole family.

Bozhou is worth visiting again. It borders Henan Shangqiu, Anhui Fuyang, Huainan and Bengbu. It has a long history and is also the world's largest distribution center for Chinese medicinal materials. The beef noodles and mutton soup are delicious.

Huazu Nunnery, also known as Huazu Temple, was first built in 904 AD during the Tang Dynasty to commemorate Hua Tuo, a renowned physician of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Because the temple was consistently headed by female monks, it was called a nunnery. Online ticket purchase is very convenient, and free parking is available.

Visitors can see ancient counters, accounting rooms, and secret poems; the ingeniously designed underground vault showcases the financial wisdom of the past. It offers an immersive experience of the bustling commercial port of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and provides insights into the history of ancient coins and money exchanges – a truly excellent experience. However, the ticket price is slightly expensive, making it only moderately cost-effective.
