\ Daytime Bar Crawl in Ise /. — traveler post in Mie Prefecture

\ Daytime Bar Crawl in Ise /.

I went to Ise for work, and figured I'd stroll around Ise Jingu Shrine while I was there... but it was a blistering 38℃ (100℉) that day🥵 It was way too hot, so I gave up😂 No way- Instead, I went on a bar crawl to 2 spots near my accommodation that I had been curious about🍺 First up was an izakaya founded in 1914, so famous that they say "everyone in Ise knows it." 📍 Ichigatsuya. Walking inside, there's a long counter and a classic, old-school vibe✨ Even on a weekday evening, it was almost completely packed with locals. The menu didn't have prices on it, which made me a bit nervous at first😳 But it's a system where you write down what you want on a piece of paper and hand it over. We ordered sashimi, pickled octopus, chilled tofu, grilled chicken wings, and more🍺 After 2 draft beers, 1 bottled beer, 1 serving of sake, and eating a bunch of different dishes, we asked for the check! The owner whipped out a giant abacus and started clicking away, going "Here ya go!"🧮 It came out to about 4,500 yen for the 2 of us😳 I couldn't help but blurt out, "That's so cheap!"😂 For our 2nd stop, we headed to a spot recommended by a local sitting next to us at Ichigatsuya, 📍 Uosuzu🐟 Their handwritten menu was packed with the day's recommendations. They're popular for their thick slices of seasonal sashimi, and they have an amazing sake selection🍶 Since we had just eaten sashimi, we ordered burdock root salad, grilled shiitake mushrooms, chanja, fried camembert cheese, and a few other things✨ Plus, they mentioned anything that isn't raw is OK for takeout, so we got a jumbo shrimp tempura roll and fried chicken gizzards to go and enjoyed them relaxing back at our accommodation😊 A lot of places were closed since it was just after a three-day weekend, but just walking around, I saw so many spots that caught my eye. Ise isn't just about the Shrine; it's a fantastic town for bar hopping too🍺✨ I'm absolutely coming back! ---

Just about a 10-minute walk from Ise Jingu Geku. Nestled perfectly into the local Ise townscape is this lovely accommodation, 📍EXPERIENCE ISE MIYAMACHI HOTEL Bettei HA-KU | Heading to @experienceise_miyamachihotel ✨ It just opened its doors in November 2025, but it's far more than just a place to sleep 😮💨 This private vacation rental is filled with stunning artwork, making it feel exactly like you're staying inside a gallery 🎨 Plus, having the whole house to yourself gives you that authentic "living like a local" vibe! Absolutely irresistible! The morning sunlight and dappled light pouring through the large windows, beautifully shifting the mood of the art and space as the day goes by, are also impressive. It comes fully equipped with a living room and a kitchen, making it perfect for those who want to kick back and relax with family or friends 😊 Honestly, I wish I could live here 🙄 Because they genuinely want guests to experience the local dining scene, dinner is generally not provided. So, we strolled about 6 minutes to a hub packed with awesome local eateries! It was so delicious, super affordable, and simply the best! 😍 For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western styles (2,200 yen), featuring fresh local veggies, rice, and miso, in carefully curated menus packed with Ise's regional ingredients. Getting to savor the authentic flavors of the region during your trip is such a lovely perk! It's not just about "sightseeing"—it's about experiencing what it's like to actually live in Ise. It was an incredible stay where we could soak up such luxurious moments ✨ I definitely want to come back and stay again ☺️ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 EXPERIENCE ISE MIYAMACHI HOTEL Bettei HA-KU 📍 1-9-49 Miyamachi, Ise City, Mie Prefecture 🚶 Approx. a 10-minute walk from Ise Jingu Geku 🛏 Limited to 1 group per day・Private villa rental (Max 6 guests) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If this caught your eye, be sure to save it and use it to plan your next trip to Ise 😊 ーーー PR

Ise: Enjoy the Ultimate Chill Time After Visiting Ise Jingu!. — traveler post in Mie Prefecture

Ise: Enjoy the Ultimate Chill Time After Visiting Ise Jingu!.

Ise-Shima: Treat yourself to the ultimate chill experience at Oharai-machi and Okage-Yokocho after paying your respects at Ise Jingu! Oharai-machi, the bustling approach leading to Ise Jingu, and Okage-Yokocho, situated right at its heart, form a vibrant district steeped in historical charm. After all that walking and exploring, why not take a well-deserved break at Oharai-machi and Okage-Yokocho for a leisurely and delightfully relaxing time! ・Akafuku Main Store (Branches) Established in 1707, "Akafuku" stands as one of Ise's most iconic local specialties. Legend has it that weary travelers on long, arduous pilgrimages to Ise Jingu would find instant comfort and renewed energy just by taking a bite of Akafuku mochi. This enduring tradition makes Akafuku a classic, time-honored Ise souvenir today. For the upcoming summer season, we highly recommend trying the wildly popular, limited-time treat: "Akafuku Ice." This refreshing dessert features shaved ice generously drizzled with rich matcha syrup, hiding specially crafted red bean paste and mochi inside. Every bite delivers a perfectly cool and classic taste. ・Dangoro Chaya Designed like a cozy food court, this spot recreates the lively atmosphere of a traditional Edo-period "mountain pass teahouse," where travelers would rest, swap stories, and recharge for the journey ahead. Alongside signature offerings like freshly made-to-order rice balls (onigiri) and savory Matsusaka beef skewers, they serve up refreshing cold soba noodles and Dangoro Chaya's original shaved ice—perfect mouthwatering choices for summer. Access From Osaka-Namba: Take the Kintetsu Line from Osaka-Namba Station to Iseshi Station (approx. 1 hour 50 minutes); then transfer to a bus to "Jingu Kaikan-mae" (approx. 17 minutes); it's about a 1-minute walk from the bus stop. Amanwella, Sri Lanka Located on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, Amanwella offers ocean-inspired wellness rituals designed to guide guests back to body-mind balance and deep relaxation. The newly introduced "Chakra Balancing" experience is an ancient energy healing ritual using Tibetan singing bowls, Tingsha bells, and Koshi chimes layered with vibrations, combined with breathwork and gentle touch to clear energy blockages in the body’s seven chakras and restore inner harmony. Guests can also choose a three- to five-day "Restorative Wellness Programme," beginning with a private consultation, followed by daily 90-minute customized spa treatments, immersive sound bath therapy, and Sri Lankan herbal teas, enveloped in the gentle energy of nature to return to center and achieve deep restoration.

Thanks to the spring of Yungui Mountain, I feel free and unrestrained — traveler post in Mie Prefecture

Thanks to the spring of Yungui Mountain, I feel free and unrestrained

The spring of Yungui Mountain is filled with wild cherry blossoms all over the hills, and vitality is everywhere. That vast land allows me to spin and dance freely. We toured Yungui Mountain by car, 30 yuan per vehicle, which I personally think is a reasonable price. There are many parking areas within the scenic spot, each with its own unique scenery. After parking each time, you can explore deep into the mountains and fields. There are many cherry trees, and during the full bloom period, every main attraction and many small mountain paths are enchanting. 🔻Sharing some spots that made me feel free and unrestrained 🌸Mountain paths near Hongguyuan Parking Lot This parking lot has few people and cars. After parking, turn left to find the paths (more than one, all interconnected) leading deep into the mountains. After about a 10-minute walk, you can see a tall cherry forest. No one else is around; it’s just the cherry blossoms and me, freely running, spinning at will, and having the place all to myself for photos. 🌸Sunrise and Sunset Camping Site After parking, pass through the camping square and also explore the mountain paths to the left. Hidden in the woods are some quiet camping spots with great views. Along the way, there are tall and dense cherry trees, where you can also freely dance with the cherry blossoms. 🌸Karst Stone Forest The Karst Stone Forest and cherry blossoms are two signature features of Yungui Mountain. There are still many cherry trees in this area. The stone forest is like a maze, and often around a corner, you’ll find one or several beautifully shaped and blooming cherry trees. Use your imagination and dance among the stone forest and cherry blossoms. 🔻Our complete self-driving tour route Shanmen Parking Lot → Hongguyuan Parking Lot → Sunrise and Sunset Viewing Camping Site → Cherry Blossom Square Parking Lot → Summit Parking Area 🔻Our travel experiences at each location We think all these parking lots are worth stopping at, each with its own unique scenery. ✅Shanmen Parking Lot has cherry trees planted along both sides of the road, plus a U-shaped bend, creating layered photo opportunities during full bloom. ✅Hongguyuan Parking Lot allows you to venture deep into the mountains for spring outings. ✅The Sunrise and Sunset Viewing Spot is located on a narrow ridge, where you can watch both sunrise and sunset. The sunset viewing platform offers a better view. Both sides allow camping, with powered camping spots available. 4m×4m spots cost 100 yuan per tent per day, 4m×6m spots cost 120 yuan per tent per day. Other regular camping spots with your own tent or canopy cost 30 yuan per tent during the day and 60 yuan overnight. I took photos of the camping-related details here; if anyone wants more detailed information, please message me privately. ▪The cherry trees at Cherry Blossom Square Parking Lot have the most beautiful shapes, and there are vintage street lamps nearby for photo frames. Photo lovers, don’t miss this spot. ▪Summit Parking Area offers panoramic views from the mountain top. There is a temple called Guanyin Pavilion here, where you can also capture photos of cherry blossoms and the temple together. ▶️All photos were originally taken and produced by Mr. Dog and Caicai Juan’er. ▶️The above content is summarized based on personal travel experience; please forgive any omissions. ▶️Due to time sensitivity, some scenes may have changed; please refer to the current situation. ▶️All scenic spots visited by Caicai Juan’er and Mr. Dog are accessible by car. ▶️Address and location information is provided by the website; for more detailed information, please leave a message. 🔸🔹🔸 Follow Caicai Juan’er and Mr. Dog on a self-driving tour to deeply explore off-the-beaten-path travel destinations.

How to Photograph Cherry Blossoms at Yungui Mountain? Clever Use of On-Site Props — traveler post in Mie Prefecture

How to Photograph Cherry Blossoms at Yungui Mountain? Clever Use of On-Site Props

Every year, I want to visit Yungui Mountain to see the early cherry blossoms, which mark the beginning of spring in Chongqing. It’s the perfect time for cherry blossom viewing and photography. How can you take more stunning photos? We can make use of various props in the natural mountain setting. Let’s take a look together. First, let me talk about my favorite spot: Cherry Blossom Square. The small props are: 🔻Street Lamps Uniqueness Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Personally, I think the early cherry blossoms around Cherry Blossom Square are the most beautiful in all of Yungui Mountain. The branches are closely spaced and neatly arranged, blooming like a brocade. Even more cleverly, next to the most beautiful cherry trees in the square, there are vintage-style street lamps that peek through the blossoms, perfectly complementing the early cherry blossoms and making for a perfect 💯 photo prop. 📷Photography Tips 💡Use the person as the visual center, with the person leaning slightly against the lamp post or standing a bit away from the street lamp, using the cherry blossoms as the background. The photographer stands away from the person, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens at eye level or wide-angle shots at eye level for full views. 💡Use the street lamp as the visual center, with cherry blossoms as the background. The photographer stands opposite the street lamp, with the rest as above. 🔻Fence, Archway, and Courtyard Wall Uniqueness Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Walk about 10 minutes or drive 3 minutes forward from Cherry Blossom Square along the road, and you’ll reach this parking lot. The fence, archway, and courtyard wall are right on the right side facing the parking lot, clearly visible. Near the archway, several cherry trees have graceful branch shapes, evoking the poetic feeling of “the whole garden’s spring colors cannot be contained.” The plain exterior wall of a building here becomes an excellent prop. Photographers can choose different angles from far to near to shoot. 📷Photography Tips 💡Use the person as the visual center, with the person leaning against the archway or fence, using the fence and cherry trees as the foreground, and the courtyard wall, archway, and flower branches as the background. The photographer stands away from the person, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens slightly looking up or wide-angle shots at eye level for full views. 💡Use the cherry tree as the visual center, with the fence, archway, and courtyard wall as the main subjects. The photographer stands away from the subject, shooting full views with a wide-angle lens at eye level. 💡Use uniquely shaped flower branches as the visual center, with the archway and courtyard wall as the background. The photographer stands opposite the visual center, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens slightly looking up. 🔻Karst Stone Forest The karst stone forest is another highlight of Yungui Mountain besides the early cherry blossoms. There are stone forests among the shadows of the cherry trees; at the corners of the stone forest, there are cherry blossoms. Flowers hiding stones, stones blooming flowers—this is a unique feature of Yungui Mountain. Photographers can select spots where the stone forest has unique shapes and the cherry trees are beautiful, trying to frame the person within this scene to capture a brilliant moment. 📷Photography Tips Uniqueness Index: ⭐⭐⭐ 💡Use the person as the visual center, with the person leaning or sitting on a suitably shaped stone. The person is the visual center, with cherry trees as the foreground or background. The photographer stands to the side of the person, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens at eye level (the stone forest scenery is complex, so a telephoto lens helps compress space and keep the image clean). 💡Use the cherry tree as the visual center, with the karst stone forest as the foreground or background. The photographer stands opposite the visual center, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens at eye level. 💡Use the uniquely shaped karst stone forest as the visual center, with cherry trees as the background. The photographer stands opposite the visual center, shooting small scenes with a telephoto lens at eye level. 🔻Other Props The three props above are the main ones but not all. There are many other on-site props you can use. I’ll briefly mention a couple. 💡Temple. Near the Guanyin Pavilion at the mountain top, there are large trees and abundant flowers. During peak bloom, the temple hidden among the cherry blossoms offers a unique shooting perspective. 💡Cherry Blossoms. When shooting portraits, cleverly use cherry blossoms as the foreground or background. Slightly blur the foreground or background to highlight the person while adding a romantic and beautiful atmosphere. Alright, I’ll stop here and look forward to you capturing your best photos on your next trip. ▶️All photos are original works by Mr. Dog and Caicai Juan’er. ▶️The above content is summarized based on personal travel experience; please forgive any omissions. ▶️Due to timing, some scenes may have changed; please refer to the current situation. ▶️All scenic spots visited by Caicai Juan’er and Mr. Dog are accessible by car. ▶️Address and location information are provided by the website. Amanemu: A Hidden Sanctuary Where Lush Forests Meet Healing Seascapes — traveler post in Mie Prefecture

Amanemu: A Hidden Sanctuary Where Lush Forests Meet Healing Seascapes

Nestled within the folds of Ise-Shima National Park, Amanemu is like a pearl gently embraced by mountains and sea. It abandons the hustle and bustle of the city, using the tide sounds of Ago Bay as its overture and the pine winds along ancient paths as harmony, blending the Zen spirit of Japanese wabi-sabi with Aman’s philosophy of tranquility to create an ultimate romantic retreat of “seclusion.” 🏞️ Stunning Scenery: A Living Scroll of Mountains and Sea The hotel is located at the tip of the Osaki Peninsula, facing Ago Bay, known as the “Aegean Sea of Japan.” The coastline is winding, dotted with over 60 pearl cultivation rafts. At sunrise and sunset, the glow dyes the sea golden red, and the silhouettes of pearl-harvesting boats in the distance form a moving ukiyo-e painting. Behind it, Ise-Shima National Park offers a lush forest oxygen bar, with cherry blossoms and maple leaves decorating the window frame in seasonal rotation. 🎨 Unique Design: Architecture Growing from the Land Aman’s exclusive designer Kerry Hill reinterpreted the Japanese “minka” houses with a modern touch. The dark gray tiled roofs slope gently with the mountain, and the brown-black Japanese cedar walls are wrapped in vines, as if the buildings naturally grew from the earth. Inside, light wood, basalt floor tiles, and woven fabrics are used extensively. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows and wooden louvered sliding doors bring in natural light and scenery without reservation, achieving a minimalist aesthetic where “architecture disappears into nature.” 🛏️ Rooms and Private Baths: Ultimate Privacy in Every Accommodation The hotel has only 24 suites and 4 villas, each equipped with a private onsen. Suites start at 99㎡, combining bedroom and living area, with sliding doors opening to spacious terraces. The ultimate experience lies in the open-air or semi-open private baths, fed by the famous “Pearl Onsen,” rich in minerals. Whether soaking under the starry sky or watching the morning sea mist, this undisturbed, anytime bathing ritual is Amanemu’s core luxury. 🍽️ Dining Experience: Seasonal Gifts from the Imperial Granary The restaurant boasts dual views of the bay and forest, focusing on the “Omakase” concept. Thanks to Mie Prefecture’s heritage as an ancient imperial granary, ingredients are meticulously selected: the sweetness of Ise lobster, the marbling of Matsusaka wagyu, freshly harvested abalone and sea urchin. On the basalt-built sunken terrace, accompanied by the soft glow of a glass fireplace, savor a signature cocktail named “Ama,” indulging both palate and sight. 💆 Leisure and Wellness: Deep Healing for Body, Mind, and Spirit · Spa: Covering 2,000㎡, built around a large natural hot spring, featuring a spa float pool and private onsen pavilions, offering Kampo therapies based on local mugwort and camellia. · Outdoor Activities: A 33-meter freshwater infinity pool suspended among the trees, facing the bay; book guided hikes on the World Heritage Kumano Kodo trail or visit Ama huts to hear ancient legends of freediving without oxygen tanks. · Golf: The 18-hole Nemu Golf Club nestled between mountains and sea offers breathtaking views with every swing. As night falls, stone lanterns softly light the courtyard. Soaking in the warm spring water, listening to the rustling pines, and gazing at the starry sky, time stretches long enough for the soul to gently resonate with this ancient land, imprinting this serene joy deeply in memory.

Toba Aquarium

It's a great place to bring kids. The enclosure isn't particularly large, but it's quite interactive and has a wide variety of animals. The sea lions and otters are especially cute, and the kids were very excited throughout. The overall environment is clean and perfect for leisurely strolling and taking photos.

Ise Jingu

Peaceful and spiritual experience, perfect on a weekday!I visited Ise Jingu on a weekday morning in November, and it was incredibly serene. Almost no foreign tourists, and even Japanese visitors weren’t too many during daytime on a weekday — it felt like I had the whole sacred forest to myself. The atmosphere is truly special, with huge ancient trees and pure air. Perfect for forest bathing and just slowing down.Started from Geku (Outer Shrine), which was very quiet and beautiful, then took the bus to Naiku (Inner Shrine). The bus between Geku and Naiku gets quite crowded (especially around 10-11am), and trains (Kintetsu or JR) don’t run very frequently, so transportation is honestly the weakest point. I recommend planning your schedule carefully or having some buffer time. But the best part? Everything is completely free! No entrance fee at all. You can spend hours walking the gravel paths, sitting on benches, listening to the wind and river — it’s incredibly healing. Oh, and don’t miss Oharai-machi and Okage-yokocho near Naiku — great for lunch and souvenirs.Highly recommend coming on a weekday if you want that peaceful, authentic Shinto experience without the crowds. Just be prepared for a bit of hassle with transportation.

Shima Spain Village PARQUE ESPANA

I visited on a Tuesday, and it wasn’t too busy early in the morning. Around noon, groups of elementary school students started arriving and gathering around the attractions, while older visitors and families seemed to enjoy the indoor activities. Some attractions and performances require an additional fee, such as Arraigo, a flamenco show featuring Spanish dancers. It was a wonderful experience, and I enjoyed watching their energetic and passionate performance. The park was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of shows scheduled throughout the day. There were also many shops to explore and several dining options, although I noticed that some restaurants seemed to offer similar menus.Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The park is also very child-friendly, making it a great destination for families with young children.

Suzuka Circuit Park

Highly recommended! It's so much fun! Suitable for both adults and children, especially car enthusiasts! You can experience go-karting on a real racetrack, suitable for all ages! The best part is that it's not crowded on weekdays, with almost no queues; the longest line is only 10 minutes! This is the kind of experience an amusement park should have! The only slight inconvenience is that from Nagoya, there are absolutely no taxis for the last 2 kilometers after getting off the train; we walked the whole way! But with such good weather, it was no problem at all! Walking along the country lanes was also quite charming! I'd definitely go again!

Suzuka Circuit

I have to give this Suzuki racing theme park a huge thumbs up! It's absolutely fantastic! Aside from the slightly inconvenient transportation, it's really great overall! During the National Day holiday, there were hardly any queues, and I got to experience the Suzuki racing track – it was so comfortable! There are also plenty of rides for kids and slightly older children! It's suitable for adults too! Highly recommended! If you have time, definitely go early and play all night!
