![[Monaco] Take a Dip in Karl Lagerfeld’s Pool! An Unforgettable Spa Experience at a Legendary Hotel. — traveler post in Monaco](https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/1mi0s224x9az4uoe84D28_C_480_270_R5.jpg_.webp?proc=source/trip)
This trip to Monaco was truly one for the books. I had the privilege of visiting Spa Métropole by Guerlain at the iconic Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo✨ The moment you step inside, you're swept away by the glamour and elegance that only Monaco can offer. It’s like stepping into a dream😍 One of the best perks of booking a treatment at Spa Métropole by Guerlain is gaining access to the rooftop Odyssey Pool. Designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld, the legendary creative director of Chanel, it feels like a secret garden hidden away from the bustle of the city🌿 The heated saltwater pool is the centerpiece, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning glass art panels illustrating Ulysses’ journey. The spa itself features incredible wellness facilities, including a hammam and a wall lined with Guerlain’s exquisite fragrances. Exploring their collection and immersing myself in the world of Guerlain was pure bliss. In this space where art and wellness coexist so naturally, both my body and spirit felt completely rejuvenated. I could have stayed there for hours! · — While the hotel may seem intimidatingly prestigious, the hospitality we experienced was incredibly warm and welcoming. Our excitement must have been written all over our faces (lol), because the staff kindly offered us a private tour of several other treatment rooms we weren't even using. One room in particular left a lasting impression: it used sand to recreate the soothing sound of ocean waves. Seeing the staff member demonstrate it was hypnotic. I closed my eyes and let the sound wash over me... I was truly moved by how they curate every detail—from sound to scent—to create such a cohesive and immersive experience😍 · — For this visit, we chose the "Bonheur Partagé – Bonding Bliss" 60-minute duo treatment for two. Once the door to the private treatment room closes, all you have to do is let go and relax. From the back and legs to the arms, décolleté, and head, the therapist works through every tension point using luxurious Guerlain products. Between the heavenly scents and the expert touch, the 60 minutes felt like time was melting away. It was absolutely unforgettable! Afterward, we enjoyed some tea in the relaxation area, savoring the lingering sense of peace.🫖 The scents, the surroundings, and the leisurely pace—it was a peak luxury experience that you can only find in Monaco🛁 · —— Spa Métropole by Guerlain Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo 📍4 avenue de la Madone, 98000 Monaco Bonheur Partagé – Bonding Bliss 60 minutes / 500€ (for 2 people) · ——

Prices are high everywhere in Europe, and Monaco is no exception 😂 I wanted to enjoy a dinner with a great atmosphere without breaking the bank, but I also didn't want to travel too far—which is why I chose this spot. 📍 Café de Paris Monte-Carlo The elegant Belle Époque-style interior is absolutely stunning 😍 Plus, the location is unbeatable, right in front of Casino Square, yet it's one of the more affordable options in the dead center of Monaco ✨ (Well, relatively speaking for the city center!) I believe the terrace is for the café and the indoor area is for dining. For this dinner, we skipped the alcohol and had soft drinks; it came to about 22,000 yen for two people. The portions are quite large, so we shared two appetizers and one main dish 🍽️ The truffle fries were delicious. On the other hand, the pasta was a bit firm, so the food quality can be a bit hit-or-miss and isn't necessarily something I’d recommend to everyone. However, the unpretentious brasserie atmosphere is very cozy 🌿 Summer nights here feel endless, and it’s a great place for the conversation to flow. It’s highly recommended when you're exhausted from walking around all day and don’t want to go far, but still want to soak in a beautiful atmosphere since you're in Monaco ✨ ----- Café de Paris Monte-Carlo @cafedeparismc 📍Place du Casino, Monaco 🕰️8:00 AM 〜 1:00 AM

Some hotels have a nice view. The Maybourne Riviera has a view that makes you question whether you’re actually living in real life. 😂 Perched on the cliffs of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, just minutes from Monaco, The Maybourne Riviera is the kind of luxury hotel that makes you want to cancel all your plans and spend the entire day staring at the Mediterranean Sea. 🇫🇷✨ And honestly? I wouldn’t even feel guilty about it. 🌊 The views are absolutely unreal. Imagine waking up to endless shades of blue, with the Mediterranean stretching as far as the eye can see. The hotel’s modern architecture blends beautifully into the dramatic coastline, creating a setting that feels almost surreal. Whether you’re enjoying the panoramic sea views from your room, relaxing by the infinity pool, or sipping a cocktail overlooking the French Riviera, every corner feels like a little slice of paradise. 🏊♀️ The infinity pool deserves its own appreciation post. You know those dreamy photos where the pool seems to merge with the sea? This is exactly the kind of place that makes you understand the obsession. The infinity pool overlooks the Mediterranean, creating the perfect setting for a sun-soaked afternoon. 🍸 Luxury, but make it Riviera chic. From the elegant dining spaces to the beautiful terraces, the hotel is designed for people who love a little indulgence. You can enjoy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, discover its different restaurants and bars, and soak up the glamorous atmosphere of the French Riviera. 📍 The perfect location for exploring Monaco and the French Riviera. Although the hotel is in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, it’s ideally positioned for discovering Monaco, Menton, and the surrounding Côte d’Azur coastline. It’s a wonderful base for a luxurious escape filled with seaside scenery and Mediterranean charm. 💌 My verdict: If you’re dreaming of a luxury hotel on the French Riviera with breathtaking sea views, a spectacular infinity pool, and a sophisticated atmosphere, The Maybourne Riviera is definitely one to add to your bucket list. Would I come back? In a heartbeat. Someone please tell my bank account that we’re coming back to Monaco. 😂💸 📍 The Maybourne Riviera – Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, French Riviera, France 🇫🇷 #travel #monaco #france #staycation #beachlife #seascapes #poolhotel #resorts

Day 4 The weather cooperated today, and it finally cleared up Today we're heading to Wuzhizhou Island After a day of exploring, I personally prefer Wuzhizhou Island Even casual photos turn out great ✔️6 stops 1. Ocean Star (first stop): cliffside sea views, a panoramic view of the heart-shaped islet, the popular railing and coconut weather sign, the best photo spot on the island. There's a new fruit stall photo spot, but we didn't want to climb up at the time 2. Sunrise Rock (highest point): 360° layered, glassy sea, the golden turtle reef formation, an excellent spot to watch the sunrise 3. Lover's Valley + Rainforest pet park: tropical rainforest boardwalk where you can see kangaroos and land tortoises, great for nature-style photos 4. Lover's Island: shallow, jelly-like waters; at low tide you can hunt for shells, the water is the clearest. There's a popular fruit stall but the line was too long so we didn't shoot there. The natural reef offers many photo spots, though you'll have to queue for them 5. Private custom beach: a film location with white tents, a pool, and flamingos, a popular white-sand beach 6. Lover's Bridge + seaside bathing area: play in the shallows, swim, or lounge on the beach. We rested and had lunch here at noon ✔️Seven precise photo spots in the French Riviera 📍Nice — the beach opposite the island photo studio 📍Monaco — the red lighthouse 📍Cannes — Coral Hotel lobby 📍Marseille — Ocean Star 📍Grasse — next to the kangaroos in the Rainforest pet park 📍Menton — next to the fruit stall on Lover's Island 📍Saint-Tropez — the beach opposite the seaside villa 📍 Address: Haitang District, Sanya. Navigate to Wuzhizhou Island Passenger Terminal (opposite Houhai Village) ⏰Boat schedule: · Boarding: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM (ticket checks stop at 4:00 PM; late arrivals cannot board) · Return: 9:00 AM–7:30 PM. Last boat at 7:30 PM; if you miss it you'll have to stay at the Coral Hotel on the island · Boat ride: 15–20 minutes. Rough seas can cause seasickness, so sit at the rear, take motion sickness medicine in advance, and avoid using your phone 🎫Admission + round-trip boat ticket about CNY 133; buy in advance. Student ticket CNY 68 🚗Island shuttle electric car ✅Top pick: CNY 138 City Walk hop-on, hop-off (6 stops for free boarding and alighting). It covers the key back-mountain attractions; you can't reach the protected areas by walking alone ❌Not recommended: CNY 60 sightseeing ticket, you cannot get off for the entire route, it's just a ride so you can't take photos or check in at spots

Monaco is filled with breathtaking vantage points overlooking elegant yachts floating on the azure Mediterranean Sea🇲🇨 While every corner of this city is photogenic, this particular spot was the one that truly captured my heart. Most people take photos of the bay from the road directly in front of the Monaco Cathedral (St. Nicholas Cathedral), but I highly recommend following the small path a little further down. The silver wattle, which looks just like mimosa, frames the bay perfectly—doesn't it look just like a painting? When you go, be sure to visit the Monaco Cathedral as well. The cathedral is where Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly held their wedding ceremony🕊️ While many cathedrals in Europe charge an admission fee, you can enter this one for free. · — 📍Monaco Cathedral (St. Nicholas Cathedral) A 5-minute walk from the Prince's Palace · —

Save a day for Nice when visiting the South of France🌊. Nice isn’t a city to rush through checking off sights. Climb Castle Hill to see the sea, get lost in the old town, stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, relax at the market—these moments are the true meaning of coming to Nice 🚶🏻One-day city walk route: Place Masséna ➡️ Nice old town ➡️ Cours Saleya market ➡️ Castle Hill ➡️ Promenade des Anglais ➡️ blue chair landmark ➡️ Baie des Anges blue beach 🚃Transportation: Plane: Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) is France’s second largest airport, with direct flights from many European countries. Train: Nice train station (Gare de Nice-Ville) connects to Paris (TGV about 5–6 hours), Marseille (2.5 hours), and Monaco (30 minutes). Local transport: Tramway: 3 lines covering main attractions. Bus: Route 81 goes to Èze, route 100 goes to Monaco.

🇫🇷🇲🇨 Discover another country you can visit from Nice without a passport, plus a colorful, charming town. After hopping on a train from Nice, my first stop was Villefranche-sur-Mer. This small port town is filled with blooming flowers, crystal-clear water, and vibrant buildings—it was so picturesque I couldn't stop snapping photos. It's compact and easy to explore, and I loved wandering through its narrow alleys ♪ After Villefranche, I took the train straight to Monaco. Believe it or not, Monaco is the world’s second-smallest country and is only about 20 minutes from Nice. 🇲🇨 There are no border controls between France and Monaco, so it was amazing to cross into another country just by riding the train ✨ One thing to watch out for: my ahamo and Rakuten Mobile service barely worked in Monaco, making it tough to look anything up on my phone 😂 If you’re planning to go, I highly recommend downloading offline maps beforehand. These two spots have completely different vibes and are incredibly easy to visit from Nice. I definitely recommend adding both to your South of France itinerary! 🇫🇷🇲🇨✨

On this trip to Monaco, I reserved my first night for Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo. As soon as I arrived at the entrance, I felt like I wasn't just checking in, but attending an elegant vacation. The hotel's architecture itself exudes a French palace aesthetic; the facade, arched windows, golden decorations, and the Mediterranean blue sky create a particularly striking visual. Highlights: The hotel's location is very convenient, allowing you to experience Monte-Carlo's lively streets and harbor atmosphere on foot. The public areas are perfect for a leisurely stroll; the lobby, corridors, and terraces all feature exquisite details. Overall, it's not a cold, sterile luxury, but rather a place with a strong sense of vacation living. Photo spots: I recommend taking photos at the hotel's main entrance in the early morning when the light is soft and the facade is at its cleanest. At the lobby entrance, you can take low-angle shots to highlight the arches and lighting fixtures. If you're staying in a sea-view room, be sure to capture a shot by the window; the harbor and yachts will give your photos a "luxurious yet unpretentious" feel. Tips to avoid pitfalls: Prices in Monaco are not low, so be sure to check hotel dining and service costs in advance. During peak season, it's advisable to book early, especially if you want a sea-view room or plan to dine on the terrace. Additionally, this place is suitable for a relaxed, extended stay, not just a quick visit. Hashtags:
