Standing atop the high cliffside platform in Zakynthos, I was instantly mesmerized by the almost unreal beauty of Navagio Beach below. Enclosed by sheer, towering limestone cliffs, the isolated cove cradles a stretch of stark white sand, brilliant electric-blue waters, and the iconic rusted hull of the MV Panagiotis shipwreck. Gazing down from this lofty vantage point, I quickly realized why thousands of travelers make the pilgrimage here every year. The contrast between the rugged precipice and the calm, glowing turquoise bay creates a dramatic natural frame that easily makes this spot one of the most unbelievable photography locations in the entire Mediterranean. Getting to this legendary lookout requires a bit of navigation, but reaching the cliffside is fully worth the effort. The most convenient route is renting a car or ATV from Zakynthos Town or Tsilivi and driving north toward the mountain village of Anafonitria. Follow the road signs leading to the Navagio Viewpoint, where you will find a dedicated parking area and a metal railing platform constructed right over the edge. Local tip: while boat tours bring visitors into the bay from Porto Vromi or Agios Nikolaos to see the shipwreck up close, the iconic, postcard-perfect view is only accessible from this upper land platform. Because space along the official platform railing is tight, mastering the art of photo spot hogging is an absolute requirement here. I recommend arriving early in the morning before 9:00 AM or late in the afternoon when the tour buses clear out. Once you reach the railing, stake out a secure position overlooking the center of the bay. Frame your camera vertically using a wide-angle lens, positioning the wooden or metal railing slightly below your shot while letting the sheer white cliffs dive down into the deep blue water. Keep your phone or camera held high above the safety barrier to ensure a clean shot of the entire cove and the resting shipwreck without any unwanted obstruction. Patience is your best friend when holding down a prime location on the edge of the platform. Waiting a few extra minutes allows the sun to reach its peak, illuminating the water so brightly that it almost seems to glow from beneath the surface. Looking back through my camera gallery and seeing that flawless perspective of the isolated beach surrounded by dramatic cliffs made every second spent holding my ground completely worth it. It remains an unforgettable highlight of my Greek island journey, proving once again that a great vantage point makes all the difference. #ShipwreckCove #NavagioBeach #ZakynthosGreece #PhotoSpotHogging #CliffsideViews #GreeceTravel #TravelStory #photospothogging

Don't want to deal with travel planning? If you don't have a car but want to explore Zakynthos in comfort, booking a small group day tour is your best bet. Having no more than ten people is fantastic 👏 For just 100 Euros, you can easily enjoy everything Zakynthos has to offer. The price even includes airport transfers! There is absolutely no public transport on the island! It’s taxis only. Shipwreck Cove is, of course, a must-visit spot. I fell deeply in love with this sea; the water is that vivid "toilet cleaner" blue 💗 How to get to Zakynthos There are two ways Option one is to fly directly from Athens. Option two is to take a 3-4 hour bus from central Athens to Kyllini Port, then a ferry for about an hour, and you’re there! If you're driving, you have more hotel options and can stay further away from the crowds. If you don't have a car, pay attention to nearby amenities like restaurants or shops when picking a hotel. I stayed at Alamis Hotel & Apartments this time Located in the Tsilivi, Plano area There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars around. It’s lively at night and features a beautiful beach—a truly relaxing and chill vacation destination.

Farewell to the summer crowds! In Zakynthos during winter, we found the gateway to adventure and mythology. When the plane landed in Zakynthos, the moist sea breeze carried the scent of pine and olives. Our winter family adventure transformed from searching for the filming locations of "Descendants of the Sun" into an immersion in the island’s myths and nature. Shipwreck Bay was the highlight, but far from the whole story. Here, every day held new discoveries for the kids. 🗺️ Family-friendly map beyond Shipwreck Bay: Natural Wonders Route: Shipwreck Bay (Navagio) → Blue Caves → Keri Sea Caves. This route is a magical lesson about "water and light." Ecological Conservation Route: Laganas Beach → Marine Turtle Rescue Centre. Winter is a great time to observe and protect endangered loggerhead turtles, making it educational. History and Culture Route: Zakynthos Town (Bohali) → Venetian Castle Ruins → St. Dionysios Church. Learn about the island’s history and its patron saint stories. Gastronomic Flavors Route: Local tavernas → Olive oil workshop visit → Tasting Mandraki honey and Sfougato cheese pie. 🚗 Detailed island self-driving and activity arrangements: Car Rental Tips: Winter is the off-season for car rentals, so prices are reasonable. It’s recommended to choose an SUV, as some mountain roads are steep. A Chinese driver’s license with a translation is sufficient. Sample One-Day Itinerary: Morning: Drive to Xigia Beach in the north of the island, where the water has a milky blue tint due to sulfur content, which is gentle on the skin. Noon: Have lunch at a restaurant by Makris Gialos Beach, enjoying freshly grilled fish. Afternoon: Drive up to Bohali Hill to overlook the panoramic view of Zakynthos Town and explore the Venetian castle ruins on the summit. Evening: Return to the hotel or take a stroll in the town square. Sea Excursion Options: Besides the usual Shipwreck Bay boat tours, inquire about small eco-tours to Marathonisi Island, which are better suited for families who prefer quiet. 🍽️ Greek flavors that kids will love too: Must-try dishes: Moussaka (meat and eggplant casserole), Souvlaki (grilled meat skewers), Gemista (stuffed tomatoes or peppers). Most restaurants offer simple kids’ menus. Hidden Delicacies: Bourdeto (Zakynthos’ spicy fish stew), which can be requested mild or non-spicy. Pastitsada (red wine beef stew with pasta). Sweet Finish: Galaktoboureko (custard pie) and Loukoumades (Greek doughnuts) — no child can resist. 🛏️ Family accommodations with different styles: Casa Playa Suites & Spa: Located on Tsilivi Beach, modern design, all suites have kitchens or kitchenettes, convenient for families to prepare simple meals. The pool area is child-friendly. Contessina Suites & Spa: In the quiet Alykes area, a garden-style hotel with cozy room decor. Bicycle rentals are available for easy exploration of nearby salt flats and beaches. The Bay Hotel & Suites: Located in Argassi, with direct beach access. Some suites have sea view terraces and jacuzzis, ideal for families seeking a high-quality vacation experience. 🎒 Core packing list for winter family trips: Windproof and waterproof jacket: A high-quality shell or softshell jacket is essential for the variable sea weather. Comfortable footwear: A pair of non-slip sneakers for hiking viewpoints, and beach shoes or Crocs for boarding boats and beach use. Entertainment items: For long drives or waiting times, bring portable picture books, drawing supplies, or travel board games. Essential medicines: Pharmacies in Europe are convenient, but it’s best to bring children’s fever reducers, motion sickness pills, and stomach medicine. In the winter sunshine of Zakynthos, time seemed to slow down. We no longer chased tourist spots but strolled through olive groves, stacked stones by the sea, and listened to locals tell shipwreck stories. This slow-paced, discovery-filled journey is the best nourishment for family bonds.

#OctoberTravelSupport An unexpectedly fun activity during my trip to Zakynthos was mini-golf. The small mini-golf course, located near the beach, is decorated with colorful lights, creating a subtly romantic atmosphere at night. The courses are more about intuition and luck than actual golf skills, so the more serious I played, the more unexpected the ball would fly, which made me laugh. I playfully competed with my friends for the highest score, and enjoyed a refreshing beer while relaxing. Around me were families, couples, and friends, and everyone laughed and clapped along to the direction the ball rolled, instantly uniting the group. Amidst the ocean views and historical sites, this lighthearted activity proved more enjoyable than I'd anticipated. It was a simple yet delightful memory, and the perfect way to end the night. I recommend spending a day in Zakynthos to let go of the seriousness and reconnect with your childhood at the mini-golf course. #ZakynthosTravel #MiniGolf #SmallTravel #NightActivities #EnjoyingGreeceTravel

The day in Zakynthos began at Tsilivi Beach. Starting with a meal at a small beachfront restaurant, I savored local dishes while gazing at the sea, feeling the romance of travel. Under the warm sunlight, a simple breakfast of Greek yogurt perfectly captured the essence of Greece. After the meal, a leisurely stroll along Tsilivi Beach followed. The blue sea and soft sandy shores made every step light, and the breathtaking scenery brought a sense of peace to the soul. Tsilivi Beach, where you can enjoy both a delicious meal and the beauty of the sea, became one of the most memorable moments of my Zakynthos trip. 📍 Tsilivi Beach, Zakynthos

Tsilivi Beach, which was part of my Zakynthos travel itinerary, felt special even before I set foot in the water. Sitting at a beachfront restaurant, enjoying a delicious meal while feeling the refreshing sea breeze, it felt as though half of the trip was already complete. After finishing the meal, I walked straight onto Tsilivi Beach, where soft sandy shores and crystal-clear waters unfolded before my eyes. I spent time enjoying light water activities and relaxing on a beach chair, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. Though the flow of the day was simple—eating, walking, and resting—it was enough to fully experience the charm of Zakynthos. Tsilivi Beach is undoubtedly a must-visit destination to include in your itinerary. 📍 Tsilivi Beach, Zakynthos

#OverseasTravel Fantasy Mini Golf, a stop during my trip to Zakynthos, showcased a unique charm of overseas travel. Breaking away from the typical itinerary of beaches and villages, the playful mini golf experience transformed my day into something special. Each course had a unique atmosphere and fun features, which kept me laughing throughout the game. The moment the lights came on against the sunset sky was especially romantic, like a scene from a movie. It was a place that made for even better memories with a lover or friend. Zakynthos's nature and sea are beautiful, but I realized that these small experiences are the special joys that can only be found on an overseas trip. 📍Fantasy Mini Golf, Zakynthos #OverseasTravel #ZakynthosTravel #ZakynthosHotPlaces #FantasyMiniGolf #GreeceTravel

During my trip to Zakynthos, visiting Fantasy Mini Golf turned out to be much more enjoyable than I had anticipated. Amidst the schedule of exploring the sea and the town, I was looking for a unique and fun experience, and mini golf here perfectly fulfilled that desire. The courses were colorful and cheerful, giving off the vibe of being in an amusement park. Competing and laughing with my partner naturally brought us closer together. Especially at sunset, when the lights turned on, the charming ambiance created the perfect setting for a romantic outdoor date. The charm of Zakynthos isn't just in its sea and islands; you can also feel it in these small joys. Fantasy Mini Golf is a hidden gem that I would love to visit again. 📍 Fantasy Mini Golf, Zakynthos

A Short 2-Day Trip to Zakynthos 🏖️ Zakynthos is a popular vacation destination with plenty of all-inclusive hotels to choose from! To save money, we searched for the most budget-friendly option 🤣 and decided on "Tsilivi Beach Hotel," located right in front of Tsilivi Beach. We managed to book a room for just around 100,000 KRW per night, and to our surprise, we were upgraded to an ocean-view terrace room. Imagine the joy of watching the sunrise and sunset over the sea from the comfort of your room 🥹. Being all-inclusive, the hotel provided buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with access to the pool bar and other amenities. We made sure to take full advantage of the meals 😎. The highlight was the stunning and spacious swimming pool, perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy shots and enjoying water activities. It truly felt like a steal for the price 👍. Is it really just around 100,000 KRW? 📍Tsilivi Beach Hotel, Zakynthos
쿠리 (26)8Having seen many seas, I'm completely captivated by the fluorescent blue of Shipwreck Bay 🌊. Shipwreck Bay truly is a must-see destination. Having traveled to so many countries, I've never seen such a blue sea before. That refreshing, fluorescent blue goes straight to the soul, a truly breathtaking sight. It's not just about the distant view from the observation deck; a visit to Shipwreck Bay isn't complete without a boat trip. Only by boat can you get up close to the white cliffs, the beach, and the rusty shipwreck. The journey also takes you through the Blue Grotto, where the water shimmers with a clear, deep blue, with light and shadow shimmering on the surface—another kind of stunning experience. The observation deck has a long walkway. There's a queue at the first viewing point, mainly for panoramic views of Shipwreck Bay. The second and third viewing points are on the same platform. The third point always has a long queue, with everyone waiting to stand on that pillar for a photo with themselves and Shipwreck Bay in the frame. The second viewing point doesn't have a long queue; just walk along the walkway to the left to directly enjoy the stunning seascape of Shipwreck Bay. Ideally, visit in the afternoon when the sunlight shines on the sea, making the fluorescent blue waters crystal clear and breathtaking. ⚠️Useful Tips 1. The viewpoint is located on the edge of a cliff, and the ground is uneven. Please be extremely careful when taking photos close to the edge. 2. The viewpoint only offers an overview. To see the beach, shipwreck, and Blue Grotto up close, you must take a small boat out to sea. 3. A boat trip can combine a visit to Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Grotto, allowing you to experience the core Zakynthos seascape in one trip.
旅途中的JKLaganas Beach is a famous beach in Ghana. It is the best resort on the Ghana coast, and many resort hotels are located here. The hotel is very exquisitely made and has its own private school begonia area. Here you can enjoy plenty of sunshine, taste delicious food, and play in the sea. It is definitely worth recommending to everyone.
juki235Venice Castle - "located on Palaiokastro Hill, opposite the entrance is the Archaeological Museum. Ottoman Turks attacked Crete fiercely. In 1573, the Venetians who ruled the city began to build the castle, which was completed in 1580. The walls now contain the circular-roofed mosque rebuilt by churches during Turkish rule. In addition, a beautiful street view of Resimnon can be seen across the walls.
E00***94Blue Grottoes, as the name suggests, refer to those blue caves that automatically emit blue light. However, I almost missed seeing them. The Greek sea is a beautiful, azure blue. However, you have to take a speedboat to find a deeper blue in this azure sea. There is such a place at the northernmost corner of Zakynthos Island. Turn into the cave and look down carefully through the transparent deck at the bottom of the boat. The bright blue is deeply imprinted in my mind...
D了个YDid Korean dramas make this place popular? Fortunately, I went there before. However, because this is not a conventional beach with convenient transportation, it is basically reached by boat. Generally speaking, there are not many people. There is no commercial development here. There are no services such as drinks, meals and sunshades, so tourists will not stay for too long. For this reason, the sand and stones on the beach are all original, not the kind of very fine artificial sand. However, although it is not big and cannot provide additional services, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches, especially in sunny weather, it is so beautiful
檀Z游I went only to the viewpoint, but it was breathtaking. Great for photos and would be amazing if you were to go on a boat.
