GGuest User: When traveling on business, choosing a cost-effective accommodation can effectively control the budget and bring more convenience to the itinerary. However, some hotels may have insufficient sound insulation, which may affect the quality of rest. We recommend that you refer to other travelers' reviews before booking, prioritizing room types or hotels that focus on quiet environments. At the same time, carrying small items such as earplugs can also help you better cope with temporary situations, ensuring you get a full rest during your business trip, and thus put into work in a fuller state of mind.

🏰 Chengdu Pujiang | A White Castle Tucked Behind Tea Fields with Only 13 Rooms Drive along the asphalt roads of Mingyue Village, flanked by neat rows of tea bushes, and suddenly, a white castle appears amidst the lush greenery. 📍 Location No. 35, Group 1, Mingyue Village, Ganxi Town, Pujiang County. The village roads are smooth and clean, so you can drive right up to the courtyard gate. It's not far from two ancient towns in Qionglai, making it perfect for a day trip. 🛏️ Room Types With only 13 rooms and opened in 2024, the styles are distinct. The "Healing Cream Style" features warm whites and wooden furniture with soft lighting. The "Natural Cave Style" boasts undulating white cave-like walls with a rich texture. For a unique stay, pick the "Muwan" Cave-style Dipping Pool King Room, which has a terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows. For a peaceful view of the fields, choose the "Xiaoxian" Terrace King Room. Families should opt for the "Jiaoyue" Garden Dipping Pool Suite. 🏊 Public Areas Arched floor-to-ceiling windows and orange wave walls make the corridors incredibly photogenic. The courtyard has a dipping pool and lawn where you can go fruit picking or play with the resident cats. 🍚 Dining Stay includes welcome fruit and free afternoon tea. Breakfast is served in the arched-window restaurant, which gets great light. 💡 Tips ・There isn't much to see in the village itself; the excitement is mostly within the courtyard and the surrounding ancient towns. ・Most rooms have "cold soak" dipping pools at room temperature; don't expect hot water in the winter. ・With only 13 rooms, it gets busy with families on weekends. Visit on a weekday for more peace and quiet. ・Village roads have no streetlights at night, so drive slowly if you're returning late.

This time, I stayed at the Heguang·Guanglian Esports Hotel (Chengdu South Railway Station Branch), and I didn't focus my itinerary on popular commercial areas. There are many scenic spots around Chengdu worth photographing. From the South Railway Station, transportation is convenient, making it easy to reach lakes, ancient towns, the Great Wall, and valleys – perfect for those seeking a quiet trip. My first stop was Qinglong Lake. The lake is expansive, with the shadows of trees on the shore overlapping with the distant city. In the early morning, it was quiet and peaceful, perfect for slowing down. I photographed the reflections in the water, the lakeside paths, and the distant bridges. I felt that travel doesn't have to be bustling; being able to quietly enjoy the scenery is wonderful. Next, I went to Shiling. Here you'll find city parks, bamboo forests, and wetlands. The shadows of trees fall on the grass, and the air is incredibly fresh. One of the advantages of the area around Chengdu is that you can easily access nature without going too far. I walked along the river for a long time, photographing the bamboo forests, the trails, the riverbank, and the birds – each shot felt like time had slowed down. In the afternoon, I went to Luodai Ancient Town. With its wooden buildings, blue tiles, and stone-paved streets, the soft morning light made it perfect for taking documentary-style street photos, as there were few tourists. Instead of photographing the crowded main streets, I chose quiet alleyways to capture the courtyard walls, wooden doors, and traces of daily life. The Jinlong Great Wall is better suited for photographing the depth of the mountain ridge. The Great Wall trail extends along the ridge, flanked by forests, with layers of mountains in the distance. I used a vertical composition to capture the curves of the Great Wall, making the figures in the frame extremely small, focusing instead on the mountain range and cityscape. In the evening, I went to Chaoyang Lake. The river was wide, and the water turned a warm gold under the setting sun. I stood on the bank and photographed the river, the shadows of the trees, and the distant bridge. I felt that the sunsets near Chengdu were perfect for quietly waiting. Afterwards, I went to Shixiang Lake, Huanglongxi, Pengzhen, Baoshan, and Yunding Mountain. Shixiang Lake is suitable for photographing flower fields and the lake surface; Huanglongxi has ancient riverside towns and old streets; Pengzhen has old teahouses and a lively atmosphere; Baoshan is suitable for photographing valleys and streams; and Yunding Mountain has pine forests, stone steps, and a sea of clouds in the distance. During this trip to Chengdu, I didn't chase after the popular tourist spots. Instead, I started from the South Railway Station and connected lakes, rivers, ancient towns, the Great Wall, and valleys. If you also come to Chengdu, don't just confine yourself to the commercial districts. Staying near the South Railway Station is very convenient and allows you to explore the outskirts. The truly photogenic places in Chengdu are often those that are not crowded but have a natural and lived-in feel.

For this short getaway to Pujiang, Chengdu, I stayed at the Chengdu Pujiang Mulianzhuang Pine Forest Hotel. The hotel is located at No. 8 Mingyuan Road, Chengjia Town, Pujiang County, hidden in the heart of the National 4A-rated Chengjia Tea Country scenic area. The entire property is surrounded by pine forests and tea plantations, and the air is filled with the fresh, moist scent of pine needles and tea. It is a new hotel that opened in 2026, so the facilities are very new. The overall design follows the theme of "hidden in the tea country pine forest, where nature and art coexist." Natural wood, glass, courtyards, and pine forests blend seamlessly, as if the hotel grew right out of the mountains. The hotel has over 40 guest rooms, ranging from main building rooms to standalone villas. We stayed in a room type with a terrace; opening the window reveals the pine forest and tea plantations, offering plenty of privacy and relaxation. The room features a private hot spring tub; soaking in the hot water at dusk while watching the twilight over the pine forest is truly healing. Some room types also include a complimentary minibar, making for a pleasant stay. Public areas include an outdoor terrace where you can drink tea, relax, and watch the sunset. The hotel also has the Deyi Tea House, where you can taste tea and watch performances of the intangible cultural heritage long-spout teapot tea art. Dining options are quite rich, with an all-day restaurant, outdoor terrace, and lawn barbecue available. Families with children can also book handmade kiln-baked bread experiences. The butler service is also very thoughtful, helping with check-in guidance, activity reservations, and arranging routes for the surrounding area. The hotel also features pine forest cycling greenways and ecological hiking trails, with free bicycle rentals for guests. Nearby, you can experience pastoral activities like tea picking and citrus picking, which families with children will love. For transportation, it takes about 1 hour to drive from Chengdu; just navigate to "Chengdu Pujiang Mulianzhuang Pine Forest Hotel." You can also reach it by transferring from Pujiang Station/Pujiang Passenger Transport Center. Nearby attractions are concentrated: Chengjia Tea Country: Great for tea picking, tea making, cycling, and hiking. Local Specialty Food List Mushroom soup pot, bamboo tube rice, fresh rice field fish, farmhouse chicken stew, wild vegetables, handmade fermented glutinous rice, mountain fruit drinks; order notes for non-spicy to suit children. Souvenirs: Qionglai bamboo crafts, Pujiang dried ugly tangerines, Dayi Anren cultural crafts, wild mushroom gift boxes. 6. Pitfall Avoidance Guide Valley homestays have weak signal at night, download media in advance; mountaintop foggy and rainy, reserve sunny days for photography. Starry tents have limited viewing in rain, reschedule or choose indoor viewing rooms in advance. Group building standalone villas require barbecue notification to butler, follow forest fire prevention rules. Families with young children should prioritize rice field or hot spring homestays, avoid tents with more mosquitoes.
The attraction exceeded my expectations. Seniors can take a train directly to the top of the mountain. There are fewer people now, so it's a wonderful feeling to stroll around at a leisurely pace! It's truly breathtaking for northerners to see such a vast bamboo forest!
Anonymous userThe Ming and Qing dynasty architecture of the ancient town was a revelation for this seasoned traveler! The Leshan Bridge, with its bluestone slabs and carved wooden buildings, exudes a strong sense of history! Changqing Street's stone-paved streets and lush greenery are a perfect match, even more charming at night when the lanterns are lit. The Ancient Tea Horse Road and porcelain-inlaid bamboo weaving are located in the core area, making them incredibly convenient to explore. The surrounding natural scenery is a delightful surprise: the Lugou Bamboo Sea, with its 100,000 acres of bamboo forest, is like a natural oxygen bar, with such high levels of negative ions that breathing feels effortless! The Jinji Valley hiking trail is not strenuous, and along the way are many exquisite guesthouses. I highly recommend "Shouzhuo" Mountain Residence; waking up to birdsong in the morning is incredibly therapeutic. Foodies must try the milk soup noodles and pot-boiled chicken combo! The milk soup is simmered to a rich, milky white consistency using chicken and pork bones, perfectly complemented by red broth mutton and cornbread! I love ordering covered-bowl tea at a riverside teahouse and gazing at the Baimo River in a daze—this slow pace is rare on the Western Sichuan routes, perfect for relaxing in the latter half of the trip. For those departing from Chengdu, I recommend combining it with a two-day trip to Tiantai Mountain. The ancient town isn't large, but it's full of details; it's best to avoid weekends. ⚠️ Remember to wear non-slip shoes, as some stone paths are covered in moss. I'm currently compiling a collection of lesser-known routes in Western Sichuan; what other off-the-beaten-path attractions would you like to know about?
博😘😘肖Xilai Ancient Town is a town with a long history and profound cultural heritage. Although it is not well-known, it has many attractions and delicacies worth seeing, allowing people to spend a pleasant time in a leisurely atmosphere. If you are traveling in Chengdu, you might as well come here to experience the different customs of western Sichuan. Xilai Ancient Town, an ancient town forgotten by time, its magnificent scenery deeply attracts everyone who comes here. The century-old street is the core of the entire ancient town. The bluestone road is flat and smooth, with shops on both sides. Red lanterns and some crops are hung under the houses. At a glance, everything looks very old, but it makes people feel very comfortable.
M54***15Many thanks to Professor Meng for the explanation! Professor Meng is very knowledgeable about Su Dongpo's life and poetry, and recounted it in a clear and engaging manner. Visiting the Three Su Ancestral Hall, the birthplace of Su Dongpo, and listening to the explanation filled me with emotion. I was deeply moved and gained a profound understanding of Su Dongpo's character. I highly recommend it!
一一家的妈妈小鹿Mingyue Village is very artistic. It was originally famous for its pottery. It was Mingyue Kiln. Later, tie-dyeing masters introduced seals and engravings. After that, it became a paradise for artistic youth.
巴适的耍娃We had a great time at the Panda Base! We ultilised the shuttle to get around the park as it huge! Once in the park, everyone spread out and it was not too crowded. We got to see adult and juvenile pandas eating and playing together. We particularly enjoyed the red pandas and the snubbed nose monkeys. The park is so big that you are unlikely to be able to cover everything in one day. Our legs were tired by the afternoon and we used the shuttle bus. There were plenty of food choices. The restrooms were clean and there were drinking stations to fill water bottles. We loved walking amongst the lush greenery, especially the bamboo grove. We entered via the west gate at 9am and there were on lines at all.
_TI***7fFrom the perspective of a grand family residence, the architecture and treasures here are well-preserved and worth seeing; from a historical research perspective, the artistry and the complexity of the creative background of the rent collection courtyard complex are also worthy of consideration. In short, it has unique elements and is recommended for a visit.
Anonymous userCheck out Du Fu Thatched Cottage! ✅ A large garden in the heart of the city, with amazing greenery, perfect for a leisurely stroll 😌 The thatched cottages, red walls, and bamboo groves are all photogenic. I used to find Du Fu's poems difficult to understand when I studied them, but after visiting in person, I'm deeply moved. If you enjoy tranquility and appreciate classical poetry, this is a great place to unwind; those just looking for a lively atmosphere might find it a bit too quiet.
Anonymous userShixiang Lake is located in Shixiang Village, Chengjia Town, Pujiang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is named after the ancient Shixiang Temple in Guhu District. It is said to be the place where General Yan Yan of the Three Kingdoms rode an elephant to heaven. The scenic area covers an area of about 3 square kilometers and is now a national 4A-level scenic spot. The main attractions in the scenic area include Shixiang Temple, Shixiang Lake area, jungle crossing and other landscapes.

Anonymous userThe standard currency in Pujiang is CNY
Current exchange rate approx.: EUR ≈7.4CNY (actual exchange rates depend on the bank). Currency exchange tips:
1. Exchange currency at your local bank before departure, as rates are usually better than at the destination.
2. You can also withdraw cash from local ATMs.
3. Avoid exchanging currency at airports or hotels, as they offer the worst rates.
