The Krka National Park is the most popular highlight in Croatia’s natural landscape, boasting a series of fantastic lakes and layered waterfalls, the most classic being the Skladinski Buk waterfall. Not only is the scenery beautiful here, but you can also hike, take photos and enjoy the tranquility and nature. It is suitable for families of adults and children. A day trip from Split or Trogir is easy, and at the end you can go to the laid-back town of Skladin, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the Krka River Gorge, which is great for taking pictures. Recommended tour routes: It is recommended to leave Bristane or a nearby town early and head directly to Krka National Park (Lozovac entrance). The route within the park is clear, and following the instructions the walk will pass through several famous viewpoints, and the layered waterfall area. The main recommendation is to visit the Skladinski Buk Falls, then you can choose to take a special boat in the park and go down the canyon of the Krka River to enjoy the cliffs and green forest mountains and rivers on both sides. Finally the boat will take you to the riverside town of Skladin for a walk down the slate old streets, a sit down at a coffee shop, and super chill. Must-play items and photo spots: 1. Sklainski Buk Falls: A masterpiece of Krka National Park, the flowing stairs are very shocking, the water is clear to the bottom, remember to check in from multiple angles. 2. River Canyon Observation Deck: There will be several viewing platforms along the trail with panoramic views of the lake and waterfalls. 3. Krka River Boat Tour: A must, the limestone gorges along the banks are spectacular, be sure to pay attention to the views at each bend. 4. Scradine Town: The town is not popular but has a European ancient city flavor, all the small streets are worth taking pictures. Trip tips and notes: · Tickets are about 93 KRO per person in peak season, remember to check the latest official prices in advance, the crowds on site and the queues are long. · The park is open year-round, but its opening hours are reduced from November to February of the following year. · It is best to wear comfortable hiking shoes, some places in the waterfall area are humid and slippery. · Mosquitoes may be present on some sections, remember to bring mosquito repellent, a hat and water in the summer. · There are restrooms and snack kiosks in most parts of the park, but crowded and you have to wait for a seat during peak season. · If time permits, consider playing Skladin for a while on the return trip to feel the leisurely atmosphere of the ancient town. A day trip to Krka National Park, experience waterfalls, green trees, canyons and characteristic towns all at once, completely refreshing the mood! Most recommended to go for photos in the morning, good light, and not wash and so crowded.
