J_Fam: The location of this hotel is close to dajiao bay but this is on the far end so it is actually not the perfect choice. The service is okay. Food is okay compared to other chinese hotel I’ve been before. Room is big and has a good sea view but quite low and better if on upper floors. I booked for 3 nights but left after 2 nights. There is nothing much to see around honestly. Dajiao bay at AAAAA is questionable. It wasnt so spectacular. Seafood nearby are amazing and affordable.

We checked in on the first afternoon. The homestay is tucked away deep in the town, featuring a simple yet elegant main building. Opening the door to the room was full of surprises. 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of endless rice paddies the moment you look up—so soothing. The overall style is a gentle wabi-sabi aesthetic, with solid wood furniture paired with linen bedding. It feels full of texture, and you can see the thoughtful design in the details. Surrounded by quiet villages and green hills, far from the city's hustle and bustle, I felt instantly relaxed. The room comes with a private hot spring tub with natural sulfur spring water. Soaking in it at night washed away all my fatigue. For dinner, we had the homestay's signature herbal chicken hot pot. It was amazing, and the kids loved it. The next day, we slept in. A relaxing weekend getaway, and I've unlocked another hidden gem for the kids 👉 Jiangmen Taishan Qiaoshui Resort 🌊 It's no exaggeration to call it the "Venice on the Water" of Guangdong. After this stay, it's officially on my list of places to visit again and again! The hotel is tucked away on the 4th-floor rooftop, featuring a circular sky pool that spans the entire floor. The atmosphere is incredible, and every photo looks amazing! The best part is the pool-access room type‼️ You can step right into the pool from your balcony door—water play freedom right at your doorstep. The kids were so excited they almost jumped straight in, and once they put on their swimsuits, they refused to get out. There are small boats and swim rings in the pool, so the kids can go boating. We snapped a few photos, and every single one looks great 📸 The Ocean B Suite we booked this time was truly dreamy—a total win for families with two kids 😭 The room comes with a slide, a ball pit, and dedicated kids' beds. As soon as we walked in, the brothers rushed to play and didn't want to stop even when they were sweating! I didn't have to rack my brain to find activities—it's a total lifesaver for moms. The hotel's amenities are also very complete: a kids' playground, game consoles, and a DIY craft area. Even if you don't leave the hotel all day, the kids can have a blast, and it's much less tiring for parents. The service details really touched me! Breakfast can be delivered directly to the room, and they even had welcome snacks ready when we arrived. It was so warm and thoughtful 🥰 Don't just stay inside after eating and playing! There are surprises hidden in the surrounding area too 👇 You must try the authentic Taishan eel rice. It's packed with ingredients, delicious, and very reasonably priced—you'll be hooked after one bite. After checking out the next day, we stopped by Caopingli. The vast, lush green rice fields are so healing, and the pastoral style is perfect for photos 🌾 We also went to a cafe under the bridge in Kaiping to check out the Jinshan Bridge 🌉 No need for long-distance travel; it's easily accessible by car from Yangjiang/the Pearl River Delta. It's a one-stop destination for dining, accommodation, and fun—the perfect way to enjoy a high-quality family weekend. Already looking forward to coming back next time!

Hai Ling Island
Hailing Island, formerly known as Luozhou, is located in the northern waters of the South China Sea, southwest of Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang City, 20 kilometers from downtown. It is 23 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide. Hailing Island has a total land area of 108.9 square kilometers, making it the largest island in Yangjiang City. Hailing Island boasts over ten scenic coastal tourist attractions, including the Taifu Temple, Linggu Temple, the Ancient Fort, the Zhenhai Pavilion, and the Guanyin Pavilion. In January 2001, Dajiao Bay on Hailing Island was designated a National 4A Scenic Area by the National Tourism Administration, becoming the only national-level coastal tourist area in Guangdong Province. This is a treasure trove of a museum; I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour. I went during the May Day holiday, and it wasn't too crowded. I imagine it would be better to go on a weekday when it's less crowded, and it's also a great place to bring kids. Behind the museum is the beach, which is quite unique.

This hidden pearl fishing port in Yangxi can be called "the last island utopia in western Guangdong"! The 3-kilometer crescent-shaped beach has not been eroded by commercialization. In the morning, follow the Tanka fishermen to dig geoducks (tool rental is 10 yuan), and in the evening, watch the returning fishing boats cut through the sunset in the century-old coconut hammock.
