The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is located in Rajasthan, east of the Indus River. The humid air of the summer monsoon passes not far to the east, but not a drop of rain falls on the desert. Most of the roads in the area are gentle and straight, and the sparse vegetation on both sides of the road gives people a sense of desolation. However, you are often excited by the color blocks that suddenly appear in front of you, especially when the majestic palaces standing on the highlands are in contrast to the mountains and lakes.
