The museum was founded in 2006 to commemorate the Great Famine in Ukraine from 1932 to 1933. The Great Ukrainian Famine was a disaster in the context of Stalin's collectivization of agriculture, during which millions of Ukrainians died. The museum is located in Vichnoyi Slavy Park. In the middle is a white monument with black iron crosses on all sides, and there are statues such as the scrawny little girl in the Great Famine on the periphery.
