Photos of Xicang Temple

The Yamagata opposite the temple is very auspicious with the Eight Treasures. Around the temple, green pines and cypresses, evergreen all seasons, a quiet and peaceful state. The monastery was founded in 1839. It was expanded on the basis of several original small monasteries in the local area. The tribe belonging to the back monastery dedicated it to the third Sega wood-like living Buddha and became the monastery of Labrang Monastery. The third generation Jia Muxiang, the third generation Dewacang, Huari Rinpoche, Gongque Jianzan, etc. served as the Dharma platform of the temple. The monastery's academic rules and legal activities are the same as those of Labrang Monastery. According to the "History of Politics and Religion in Amdo", the emperor of the Qing Dynasty once bestowed the temple with "Pan Ruo Continent". Xicang Temple has developed very rapidly. At the beginning of liberation, there were six colleges in the temple, including Wensi College, Upper and Lower Continuum College, Hejinjing College, Kalachakra College, and Medical College. , there were more than 500 monks. It is a pity that the grand and solemn building of the temple was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution. In 1982, the monastery was gradually restored, the Great Scripture Hall and the Dharma Protector Hall were rebuilt, and the Wensi College was established, with more than 150 monks. The temple is a must pass through the Zecha Stone Forest. At the place surrounded by mountains and waters, stop to watch its unique geomantic terrain, and listen to the deep and distant sound of chanting, you will have a different feeling.
