The Mazu Statue is located near Matsu Nangan Fuao Port, with a height of 28.8 meters. In recent years, the local government has promoted the Mazu tourism card, which has become one of the main axes of local tourism development. Meizhou, the birthplace of Mazu, is connected to Mazu in the cave of Mazu. It is very big, so the "Mazu Cultural Festival" is held every year. According to legend, Matsu Island was the place where Mazu (commonly known as Lin Moniang) attained Taoism. Later, the villagers in Meizhou welcomed Mazu's body back and left a burial on Matsu Island.
