Photos of Liouchiou Yu Lighthouse

The White Lighthouse is a well-known scenic spot in Ryukyu Township (also known as Xiaoliuqiu Island) in the south of Kaohsiung City. It is located on the top of Jianshan Mountain in the southeast of the island. Visitors to the White Lighthouse can overlook the beautiful coastline of Xiaoliuqiu. The White Lighthouse was built in 1929. It is a cylindrical concrete lighthouse. The whole lighthouse is painted white. Every night, the pilot lights on the tower are bright like daytime to guide ships in the nearby waters.
