Shadao Beach is located in Hengchun Peninsula, Pingtung County, about 39 kilometers away from Ping'e Highway. Since the bay is a place where wave energy is reduced, the shells and corals in the nearby waters have been eroded by the impact of sea tides for a long time, and they have been crushed and ground. The fine sand is accumulated in the bay, and shell fragments, coral reef fossils and foraminiferal fragments account for about 98% of the beach, forming the famous "shell sand beach" at home and abroad. The shell sand beach is bright in color, crystal clear and beautiful. This beach is currently listed as an ecological reserve, and mining is prohibited in order to preserve this natural beauty given by God.
