Aretusa Fountain is a beautiful and tranquil fountain of fresh water. Greek mythology gives an explanation for the origin of this fountain: According to legend, Aretusa, the handmaiden of Artemis, the fairy of the forest, was chased by the river god, Aretusa was overwhelmed, and begged Artemis Turn yourself into a spring, this is the Aretusa fountain. The papyrus flowers in the spring are said to be the only natural growth place for papyrus flowers in Europe outside of Greece.
