On the top of Xiling Mountain facing the river, there is a pillar-shaped stone peak with a small platform, and a statue stands on a huge stone platform by the river, which is the "Zhang Fei Drumming Platform". It is said that Zhang Fei, a fierce general of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, once played drums on this stage to supervise the training of soldiers. The statue of Zhang Fei is backed by a deep canyon, facing the rolling Yangtze River, with eyes wide open, tiger beards and halberds stretched out, huge arms waving and beating, as if hearing the sound of rumbling battle drums.
