Monument to convey the water supply of ako domain to later generations
Original Text
In the Ako domain, water supply was maintained from the early Edo period, and it was handed down and used until the Showa period. It is a monument to convey this history to posterity, and although it is not an archaeological site, the well pipes used for the monument use old pottery pipes excavated from the archaeological sites. The place where the monument is installed is located in Nakasu, surrounded by roadways, so be careful of cars to see it nearby.
It is on the way to the street connecting Ako Station and the castle ruins. It is one of the places I stopped by on the way to the return station aiming for the castle ruins first. I was surprised that the water supply was maintained so large in the Edo period.
Akao City is also famous for Ako Roshi, but it is said that this monument shows that there was already a water supply network for each door during the Edo period. It would have been nice if there was a little more detailed explanation.
It is on the way from Harishu ako station to sotsugu well.

JR It was on the way from Banshu Ako Station to Soshitsugudo. However, it is difficult to visit because there are so many car streets in the middle of the road.
It was a short walk from Banshu Ako Station, so I went to wait for the train transfer. It was a monument where you could see water blowing out on the way to walk. Also, when I went on a different road to return to the station, there was a place like a mini park commemorating the conduit at the intersection.
