Built in the 8th century, the pagoda of Borobudur in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is built in gray Anshan stone, with seven floors, many reliefs, more than 500 characters, and is world-famous large and story complete Buddhist reliefs. It is listed as a world cultural heritage and one of the world's wonders.

This monastery was founded in 1991 on 4 hectares of land on Jl. Lucky Hill, Hot River, Batam City, Riau Islands. Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya was then inaugurated by the Minister of Religion, Prof. Drs. H. A. Malik Fadjar, M. Sc, in 1999.

A very large monastery, complete with schools and universities and vegetarian restaurants. Every Chinese New Year celebration and mooncake celebration this monastery will feature a very lively culture of dance, singing and drama. On weekdays it will be filled with lots of tourists from Korea and Japan

The Maitreya Buddha Courtyard has a large room, there are 12 zodiac Maitreya Buddhas, and there is a restaurant behind the bye~ If you are hungry, you can enjoy vegetarian food there!

it's right beside school so visit after 2pm is better to avoid the crowd. this place serve nice vegetarian food
