We started to wander into the area, but as others have said, it doesn't feel too safe for visitors. I would give it a miss. If you do go keep expensive consumer goods out of sight.

This area is the hood of St. Thomas. There are drug dealers in the corners and the area is run by a gang. It is a historic part of Charlotte Amalia but do not go without a local guide!!!
